Some of the details may be a bit sketchy as it was over a week ago.
Final table of a live tourney
Blinds are 1000/2000 I have 19000 chips
There are eight players left and top 3 get paid.
I am in the small blind and get
guy in middle position limps in ( i don't know much about him) he has about 20,000 chips
Girl on the button (who is VERY drunk) calls also. She has about 35,000
I call
Big Blind checks. He is a good player and chip leader on about 40,000 or so
pot is 8000
anyway flop comes
I check
BB checks
early limper Checks
Drunk girl bets 8,000
16,000 in the pot now
Now I go all in for my remaining 18,000
My thinking was that the other two could be on a flush draw and I wanted to chase them out. As it turns out everyone folded.
I can't help but feel I made a serious mistake in not doubling through here (or least getting someone to commit 18,000 chips to the pot along with me)
Should I have just flat called here and if someone hits a flush then "that's poker" ?
I feel that this is the hand that cost me the tournament.
Any opinions?
