Blinds are 100 -200

We are in Late position with 27500 in chips with the average stack at 11800

we have

Its folded to us in the cutoff and we raise to 600.

Button player has 9000 chips, and flat calls

Small blind and Big blind fold

Flop

We bet 900

Button Reraises to 2500

We call

Turn

We bet 1600

Button pushes...

Now we have been stealing this guys money all day and he is quite passive, folding to reraises when he has missed the flop, you know the type.

SO given the money in the middle and his possible range, would you call, if so what do you think he has?

We insta call because the way youve described him hes not on AK.

We think he has QQ to beat you.

Or 66, QJ, AQ, or slowly played KK or AA (i wouldnt, but seen it done) all of which you beat.
We dont think hes got AK with the way youve described his flop play.

We think you should have pushed the flop. Also, why are you flat-calling the raise on the flop only to bet again on the turn. It makes no sense.

Truth be told I was trying to be tricky with the guy and it seems to have bit me in the arse.

I was sure he had AK and I folded, he then told me he had Aces.

I arsed the hand up completely, when I got all his chips in I bottled it and didnt call.

lesson learned

I agree

Push all in on the flop. Make him pay for the draw, and if he has QQ (unlikely) then so be it

I think pushing the flop gives your hand away too much. I want his money in the pot for sure with a hand like AQ, AA, KK, KQ

id probs check raise all in on the turn.

He's already put in over 1/3 of his chips. He's not going anywhere.

Am i right in thinking it is only 4300 more to call on the turn?

I dont think its possible to fold for 4300 with ur hand even if u think he has AK you still have 10 outs to make the boat/quads, and with your stack if u miss your still very comfortable.

I dont think AK flat calls preflop (might as u described him a passive) OR r/r on the flop (being ABC passive).

Its a call for me.

Lol he's only got 9000 total, if you don't reraise the flop you HAVE to call the turn.

To be honest I am all in right here. He's not going anywhere now as he's put over a third of his stack in on this hand already.

If he has QQ and has hit a higher set then that's life.

What's more likely is that he has a hand like AQ, AA, KK, QJ and thinks he is in front

Insta push for me,with 27k and no worry of elimination i am calling this guy everytime.
Plus as the bigstack you should be bullying the players at your table. You just lost all respect you had from your opponents on this hand. You should be pushing the hand to say these are the hands i get,i flop sets ll the time, i call you all the way with them and you lose so dont play back at me.

ok without reading the replys billy ( it always puts me off )

im putting him on a very narrow range...probably AK or QQ,possibly 10 10....

so u may well be behind here.but are u gonna fold with so much invested in the pot and with all he has left?If he had me outchipped i probably reluctantly fold...

sure if u call and lose u,ve took around a 30% hit on ur stack...but u have live outs with 2 cards to come..

im calling everytime
