Glen Johnson was really bad against Villa, do England have other viable options at RB incase his form goes off during the next few months, Micah Richards?

Nedum Onuha (sp) over Richards.
Wes Brown
Beckham might be playing right back for Milan
What is Nicky Hunt doing these days?

He hasn't been great over the past month or so.  But before that he was Liverpool's best player this season quite comfortably (imo).  Seemed to have lost some confidence, so hopefully he'll be back to his best after his forced break.

I agree. I think it just highlights our weakness in that position. I hope Beckham does play right back for Milan as i'd think he'd be a useful reserve option for us.

He's been playing with an injury.

Very good player - must be nearly 30 and pretty expensive though?

Didn't realise he'd be on a free next summer - would be a great signing for 6 months on loan before a permanent deal.

The word is that Atletico are happy for Maxi to leave for free this month to get him off the wage bill,he has already been told he is not getting a new deal.

Very similar situation with Ruud van Nistelrooy, who again is being heavily linked with a move to Liverpool this month, again on a free, possibly even with Madrid willing to share hs wages to the end of the season.

Both would obviously be great deals and certainly add quality to the X1 at Anfield.

Hmm not sure if I'm liking the idea of signing Van Nistelrooy, I've never really rated him obv hes lethal from 6 yards and in but dosent do much else, oh and he used to play for a certain team I'm not too fond of. Kin, Baron what do we reckon?

He would be a much better signing for us than Owen was for Manure.

Cheap
Desperate to play with WC coming up
Knows what the prem is about
Can bring Ngog along
Knows he wont start every game and will be happy with that
Cheap
Will cause a bit of a stir in the Liverpool vs Manure rivalry

Did I mention Cheap?

All in all I think its a great solution to what we need.

I hated the guy but you just cant doubt his talent - his gpg ratio is outrgeous. His positional sense is the best I've probably ever seen, his finishing is up there as well, what can really go wrong? Its only 6 months on what is rumoured to be shared wages and let's be honest how good can any other striker be when we have less than £5 million to spend by all accounts.

If he's pap we don't lose anything. And as Blatch says it cant hurt Torres and N'gog to train next to him every day.

I remember him scoring one or two after a decent run past defenders too back in the day! Vs Derby I think? Also a good'un Vs Arsenal after a great through ball from Giggs in a 2-2 draw from a few years back, don't know what year.

To say you wouldn't take Van Nistelrooy is just outragous.

He had played for 2 of the biggest teams in the world at the time, can't deny his talent.

I remember when we had Chris Sutton and Mark Viduka at Celtic, i loved them cos they were big and strong, and no one messed with them on the pitch, i love strikers like that. (Clearly Samaras is from a different Mould  Roll Eyes)

RvN fell into this catagory for me at Man Utd too, his finishing for a big striker was class too.

Scored most of his MU goals through crosses / assists from Beckham I seem to recall. Who do you have to supply that sort of service?

Oh, and i'd think he's been gone long enough for it not to upset us.
