How would the hoops fans rate McGeady's chances of being a success at Liverpool? (Bear in mind most Liverpool fans dislike Kuyt after something daft like 12 goals and 12 assists last season - second only to Lampard from a midfield position in the EPL)

I'm not a hoop but being Irish,McGeady frustrates the life out of me.
I think the word enigma sums him up perfectly,so so much talent but very inconsistent, and end product often lacking.
I think he has almost 30 caps for us and to be honest off the top of my head I don't think he has had more then 2/3 quality performances.
In his defence I will say he hasn't really had any runs in the side,in and out a lot.
Is he being linked? Liverpool's squad doesn't really suit his style of play does it? He can be a real passenger at times.

Sounds like another Garcia, Babel, Benayoun etc - capable of great things but never quite consistent enough.

If this was last season i would agree with Murph, but since it isn't, i don't.
McGeady has defo come into his own this season.
TBF watching them week in week out, McGeady is the only thing holding this team together at the moment, 75% of our goals are all coming through him just now.
He does has endless amounts of talent tho, and if im honest, will never ever react them if he stays at a club like celtic.
Id love to see him at one of the big 4 clubs, but only if utilised properly, and recognised for his talent.

I want to see if Degen can cut it - he looks v good going forwards but is enternally injured.
Johnson, Gerrard and Torres were not fit before yesterday anyway by all accounts. All 3 were playing through pain.

The 25-year-old right-back will meet a consultant on Thursday to learn of his estimated recovery date.
Depending on the severity of the tear, the £17.5m summer signing could be out for several months.

Might mean mean he's 'fresher' come the WC as he'll have played fewer games in 2010.
But I too would love to see Degen come good. Looks like a formidable player running forward with the ball, but no idea how good he is defensively.

He was 'linked' by John Aldridge on City Sport the other night along with Kevin Davies. Just throwing out ideas, and considering what a brainless twat Aldridge is, pretty sure you can leave it there.
