A year ago we would have won this game 5-3.

Got to spend big in January on top striker and top keeper.

At least we created chances today ,De Gea was awesome .

Do you think that Rodgers will be entrusted with the funds to "spend big" though?

even if he is im not sure we can pick anyone up in Jan to turn this around

Begovic? Bony?

both would transform the problem positions

i would like Begovic, however we have been linked with john ruddy today

I agree. It's tough to do decent business in January at the best of times.

Are Real Madrid still looking to sign Sterling? Think he might be exactly what they're missing to help them out of their slump.

In all seriousness, Liverpool played better than UTD today for me, build up play was good with a lot of dangerous through balls. Sturridge up top with Llalana and Coutinho supplying looks pretty good to me. Get Sterling back on the wing as i just don't think he looks right in the middle.

Brad Jones doesn't look much of a keeper. Pretty embarrassing that RVP tapped into an open goal from where he was.

Please let this happen

I believe we have a 25% sell on clause. Happy days.

If there's a sell on clause surely it doesn't expire?

Lots do.

Liverpool stole him from QPR when he was 15.

He wouldn't have any value in the transfer market until at now at the earliest, so I would be very surprised if it expired.

Not likely you were going to sell him at 18 is it? (or if you did, it wouldn't be for more than the price of a cup of tea)

Agree with that. Liverpool's have a problem defensively, but the inability to score goals is why they're not winning matches.

I've never heard of a sell on clause expiring.  Any examples?

I should add that sometimes teams buy out the clauses, like the Bale one.

But they don't just disappear of their own accord as far as I know.
