I wholly disagree Agger 'is up there with the best' in his position at the moment, he still has a lot to prove, simply because he 'looks sexy' when he carries the ball out of defence masks flaws imo...

Couldn't disagree more. Apart from beefing up a little, which is something I'd like to see, his reading of the game looks absolutely superb, he has pace and is good in the air.

I've just looked over this again, and its even funnier 2nd time round!

He really isn't the prolem in the back four right now.

I dont know why pundits refuse to accept that the two major problems in our team right now are Gerrard and Carragher. They've both been awful this season.

Marouane Chamakh has agreed to join in a £25million deal and the club expect the player to sign a big money pre-contract agreement before the end of the month. The highly rated striker was wanted by Arsenal, Juventus, Inter Milan and West Ham.

Anyone know any truth in this?  Seems very far fetched seeing as we have no money

Apparently it's 60k p/w, a signing on fee and 5 years of wages that makes up that £25 million so it's possible.

He's on a free in the summer so it's definitely not a transfer fee unless it's minimal.

There is almost zero percent chance he moves this month.Bordeaux turned down bids of around £4m+ in the summer, basically resigning themselves to losing him for nothing at the end of the season because they wanted him for their champions league campaign, which they are still in by the way,so I can't see them selling him now for like £1.5m or whatever.

Yeah that sounds about right tbh. I've heard we're offering a redic signing on fee which would explain some of the £25m.

Mascherano - wouldn't be hugely surprised if Maxi plays quite quickly although I think unlikely for this weekend vs Stoke's bruisers.

Anyone know how far El Zhar is from being fit?

Although he may want Kuyt up top which means Maxi may start.

how much longer is Riera out for and what about Aurellio

Id like him to give so of the kids ago, El Zhar must be ready to play, he was getting action 2 years ago

El Zhar has been injured for most of this season but I know Rafa really rates him as a prospect.

Would love to see Pacheco start but wont happen vs Stoke. He's too lightweight.
