Can you guys see Liverpool beating Man U tomorrow (assuming Man U field a full strength squad and Fergie doesn't do anything silly again)?

I would bite the hand off someone offering a draw.

Mid-table mediocrity seems inevitable.
And that is if you're lucky. Yuck at this entire thing. I guess it makes it very clear that the FA should prevent take overs of clubs with debt taken out against the club.

I know Torres is well out of form but ffs the Sky commentators yesterday really tilted the hell out of me constantly going on about his lack of effort etc in the first half every Liverpool player was terrible, including Gerrard. In the second half the only person who did more then him was Gerrard.I know the press etc always like to have a go at Strikers when they're out of form but everybody knows Torres is World Class and will come good again soon and the lack of effort is bs imo,he played just as bad, probably worse for Spain and I doubt he lacked effort to want to win the World Cup.

I read somewhere the amount of games Torres has played in his career. I think Drogba has played only 70 more games and is 6 years older. Pretty obvious playing that much football you're going to bit at some point.

The problem is also that, if the press keep slating Torres it's only going to make it more likely that he'll leave. After all, why stay with a club where you're unlikely to win something and in a country where the press does nothing but bitch and moan about you for a full season.

It's fairly good news. Will be better when those two are gone, and the club can eventually move forward. Looks like we can write this season off, and hopefully look forward to the 2011/12 season and moving on from there with new owners...

What new owners?
You'll be mid-table this season (top 6 probably but not top 4), the value of the club will actually drop. Torres isn't going to fanny about for another summer (Stevie G might but I doubt it as his patience must surely also be running out) so you will lose at least one of your best players. The old twats in charge now still want 600mill for a club that's actually valued closer to 400mill (At this point but the value will probably drop after another trophy-less season of mediocrity) and then a new owner will need to pour even more money into a club because he needs to replace Stevie and Torres (Say 80mill to find two players of similar quality?)...
This season was it for Liverpool, but the "potential buyers" have been scared off, it'll be bargain basement footie for the next few years untill Hicks comes to his senses and sells at a loss.
It's a disgrace this has been allowed to happen but if there are no rules with regards to financing of a club this will happen to more clubs in the future.

H&G will have to sell for less than their asking price. There are potential new owners waiting (plural), but because of H&G's delaying tactics, it'll be sometime during this season that it all happens. Too late to rescue this season though.

But will they?...These guys have a big ego and I wouldn't be surprised if they refuse to cut their losses.
