@ Kinboshi
Yes i've seen every Liverpool game this season both domestic and europe apart from Northampton.I agree it has been dire at times but still a bit early to write the season off imo.
I thought Hodgson was a good appointment at the time(even championed ye for a top 4 spot) but I have to admit there are signs that the job and club is too big/too much for him,it sounds strange to say that about a man with Inter Milan on his CV but football at the top level has changed a hell of a lot since the last time he was involved in it.To me he seems stressed and defensive in the media and tbh everytime I have seen him on the bench when things haven't been going well(particularly City and the first half in Trabzonspor) he has looked on the verge of a banger.
I agree with you that MON would not be the solution, much of a muchness imo.MON is vastly overrated,he is abrasive and argumentative even to his own players,he has terrible squad management(just look at Villa's record in the past 2-3 years for the months of March to May) basically because he can only seem to keep 14 players happy and then over-uses them until their legs are gone and then he is forced to call on players he has totally ignored for the past few months.
All this talk is kind of assuming Hodgson is already a lame duck though, which he very well may be if and when a takover happens.
You can't be serious that some Liverpool fans are calling for Maxi to be ahead of Kuyt? Kuyt should be the 5th name on the teamsheet everytime he is fit(after Gerrard,Torres,Carragher and Reina)
Btw I think Liverpool will get a good win against Sunderland and I fancy Torres to kick-start his season with a goal or two.
V good post.

Kin, isn't about time you changed the title of this thread to "Liverpool FC, a sad, sad, sad story"?

I'm not sure exactly how long a generation is defined as but surely we're looking at worse than that. lowest point since the 60s if this continues

It's currently as bad as when Souness took over. The difference then being that he took a very strong and successful side and decimated it.
Good job I'm a Wigan rugby league fan. They've come back from being very close to relegation, and now could be looking to a period of dominance. Can't see Liverpool doing the same, but new owners could see a change of fortunes.

Kin if Liverpool played Wigan in some sort of make believe compromised rules bs game, who would you support. I wont except hoping for a draw as an answer.

I prefer rugby league to football. Very close between Wigan Warriors and Liverpool FC though. Wigan would probably get the nod, maybe. Put it this way, I'd rather watch Wigan in the Challenge Cup final than Liverpool in the FA Cup final if they were both on the same day (then watch the other on Sky+ before I heard the result).
