Wasn't he meant to go to Sweden for specialist treatment before we sign him?

did that happen, did we take over the treatment in sweden, or our medics have a different opinion.

You'd think that as he passed his medical it wouldn't be that serious, and certainly not enough to keep him out for 4 months (not playing rest of season rumours?)

This is just it. Usually twitter and the forums would be all over this. It's very quiet, hoping the rumours aren't true.

Just been watching the first half of the youth cup 5th round match against Southend.

Score is 6-0 at half-time, and little Raheem Sterling has scored an impressive hat-trick. The little fella is going to be some player.

Where you watching it?  You at the game? or LFCTV?

Mr Purslow's responsibility for Raheem! Read somewhere last year, £2m from QPR (fee dependant)

Lots of clubs were after him. If it was Purslow's decision, then he got one thing right!

The lad's been moved to the right wing from the left and he's struggled this half. Only scored two more!  He's always good to watch, but tonight he's been sublime.

90th minute, 9-0, 5 for Sterling.

Someone compared him to Walcott at Southampton. Seems a fair comparison to me.

Let's hope he doesn't get as overhyped as Walcott did and gets plenty of time to grow into a consistently good player.

Ngoo, who didn't play last night is also one to watch. As are a few in the midfield.

In other news:

@rorysmith_tel reports that (a) Carroll may be back for the #mufc game, and (b) Comolli watched Luis Enrique at the weekend.
