Did Evra say to the red when he was booked "Is that because I'm black?"? That sounds a lot like someone playing the race card.

George, I find racism deplorable and anyone (players, fans staff) who use race to discriminate against or abuse someone should be punished.

What we seem to have here is one player who said the other said something racist. The accused said he didn't. Unless the report includes additional evidence, I don't see damning evidence that could be used to prosecute in court. This is the level of evidence we should be demanding. If it's there and he's guilty then he deserves to be punished.

References to colour happen all the time. Debate on how many black managers there are in the game, MOBO awards, First black president etc. They may not be necessary but they happen.

You can have the same language as another country, but treat words within the language very differently.

It's not just the words either! You can say it means x or y, but also look at his mannerisms when he says it. It's quite clear whatever he is saying is meant to be derogatory

Are you talking about when he said what I quoted previously in front of the ref, or the other ten times he was meant to have said an offensive racist term?

We'll see if the report agrees with Evra's assertion that Suarez racially abused him ten times. If he did, and there's video evidence to support it, I'd have Suarez sacked immediately.

The point you seem to have missed is that the refernce to Evra's origin is what Suarez has been banned for. If Evra said "don't touch me you South American whatever" in an offensive tone then he's due the same punishment. LFC made reference to this in the last paragraph of their statement.

Again, they'd have to have more information and evidence than that video - as it's inconclusive and the case would be a waste of tax-payers' money.  As much as I don't like Terry, there's not enough evidence (in the public domain) to know if he was guilty or not here. 

If he is found guilty, then the FA would have to act as well - surely?
