Time.  He'll get at least three seasons.

Kin three years in the premier league is an luxury which wouldn't be afforded to anybody else. I remember talk of a title challenge before the season kicked off and yet Liverpool are failing to impact top four. So the team is certainly under performing. Add to this the money spent and monda's point about the handling of AC and questions should be asked. Additionally I think his lack of PR skills is a commercial hindrance by modern standards. Forgetting the Suarez hash he often comes across as dour and defensive in press conferences which breeds a sense the world is against Liverpool. He will obv always be a legend but I'm having doubts whether he's actually the right man for the job and wonder if he got it just because Henry was moved by chants from reminiscent fans.

Liverpool are playing ok but if you look at the sort of football Brendan Rodgers and Paul Lambert are achieving with unfashionable sides it makes you wonder what they could do at your club. Proper sexy football at Anfield would be nice. I would like either of those smaller club managers to get a crack just like 'my man Roy' did. And fair play to football loving 'my man Roy' who rolled his sleeves up at age 64 to lead a dire West Brom to their best league finish in 30yrs, a side now noted for their organisation. Even got some away wins so he has. Don't know what happened to Rafa since he flopped at Inter thou?

And I would've told Pepe not to roll the ball out to Kyrgiakos as well. Boot it way down field imo.

Not particulalrly a Dalglish fan, but he's better than Hodgson I suppose.

We are better than we were 12 months ago granted, but worse than 3 years ago.

Creativity or lack of, is borderline shocking.

I saw your tweet RE Tevez, Great shout.

The one thing that annoys me more than any other is the buying of wank overpriced British players.

Out of Carroll, Henderson, Downing, Adam who would get into any of the other top 5 teams?

Carroll when he was playing for us looked good enough to get in any team in the league. Agree about the rest though. I really think the Downing deal was just ridic, much worse than Carroll, pretty sure I said that itt at the time as well not just because he's been shit this season.

Mondatoo - Would you say AC leaving Newcastle is the biggest reason why Newcastle are having a barn storming season? Yous have not exactly fell apart after losing him.

No, I said I wouldn't be sure on 25 at the time and I'm a fan who wants to keep his best players over having a great p&l account so for sure you paid over the odds.

We clearly have managed fine without him but I don't see how we would've done any worse if he'd stayed, he was great for us. Not sure what impact he had on the dressing room, he certainly had a few interesting off the field antics. Enrique is another one who was a very good player that we lost, I said at the time I may've been tempted to let him ride the contract out then let him leave for so little, and if we had've done that he may well have signed a new contract now but that's all done anyway. Enrique was up there with the buy of that window for me, Santon looks like a quality replacement though.

Yes, and plenty of these clubs fail to achieve much whilst they chop and change the management set up too often.

Title challengers this season? The goal this season was to improve the squad and aim for top four and hopefully a good cup run.

So the team is certainly under performing.

The team is obviously underperforming, they're not scoring enough goals. But it's not a disaster. Defensively, the side is doing well and as fans who watch liverpool week in week out will attest, the way we're playing is far better (bar the finishing).

Really?  I think he's great value in interviews and press conferences.

Sounds very much like another Premier League manager from Scotland...

The owners want success, and long-term success.  They won't just install a manager to placate the fans.

We're playing good football, bar the finishing.  Some very attractive stuff, and I've watched pretty much every game this season.

Yeah, West Brom are riding high.  Sam Allardyce was very good at getting results from limited squads - wouldn't want him anywhere near the team I support.  If Dalglish left Liverpool, I'd have Rafa back in a heartbeat.  I don't think you'd find one Liverpool fan who watches the games who'd say the same about Hodgson.  Not one.

Yeah, because he was the only player in the back four or midfield who could be an option for a shorter pass.  Let's bypass a decent midfield and punt the ball towards a lone forward.  Great tactics...

ok you've done enough to convince me there. I now think free-scoring Liverpool are on fire this season, every decision has been spot on, and Kenny Dalglish does the 'soft shoe shuffle' in and out of every press conference whilst waggling a straw boater in one hand and bouncing a cane off the floor with the other.

Jolly good.  I'm fairly certain I didn't say they were 'free-scoring', in fact I mentioned that goal-scoring was an obvious issue.  But I don't think you even watch that many Liverpool matches or listen to too many Dalglish press conferences anyway.
