the football wont be as effective as liverpool fans will groan alot earlier than Swansea fans will. Rodgers is happy to pass the ball across the back for 10 minutes, seriously, Liverpool fans wont like that. He isn't a Kevin Keegan manager who will try to score one more goal than the opposition. I like his style dont get me wrong, I just think at teams like Liverpool and Newcastle where keeping the home fans on side is a huge thing this style of football doesn't work.
I cant speak for everyone but I disgaree with this post. I think most Liverpool fans would.

So Liverpool have paid a huge 7 million apparently for a relatively unproven manager (just like paying 35m for a relatively unproven cf) AND agree not to buy any Swansea players for 12 months?!?! Who the hell have they got negotiating these deals? I expect imminent news that you've signed joey Barton for a snip at 8 million.

Our fees/compos on managers over the last 3 years is over £30 million. Pretty sickening.

He took unfancied low budget Swansea into the most competitive league in club football and crafted some of the best passing statistics in Europe. Those skills bound to carry a price tag. AVB cost Chelsea £50m all told so £7m is a snip, especially for a big club wanting to play a passing game. Think Liverpool have wasted more on new stadium plans but glad to hear they stay at Anfield now.

Yeah, disappointed he's going. Didn't get much of a look-in under Dalglish and did well when he did geta chance (one of the things Dalglish got wrong imo). Was a good servant to the club, and played where he was put without moaning, and also loved the city and the fact his kids are "scousers". Would have thought he'd fit in well with Rodgers' philosophy and approach to how he likes his sides to play, but guess the move has been in progress since the rumours he wanted out back in February/March. Lots of Liverpool fans will be delighted he's gone. I hope we're bringing someone good in to replace him and not looking at some recently-signed English midfielders to take over the right-sided role in midfield..

Kelly will be a cracking centre back in time. But called up for England now? Bit of a joke to be honest seeing as he hasn't been playing that role for Liverpool, and obviously the reasons Ferdinand isn't playing aren't 100% football-related.

The fact that of the 6 we have in, 4 are abit dubious is another thing!

He's over 30 and not been prolific for a year or two. Plus he's probs about 3.5m a year off the wage bill.
