where do we think Rafa will be next season?
Hope its the Prem. Top manager, would be good news for a number of sides.
Barcalona on a one year? - looking less likely that Vilanova will return.
He may stay at Chelsea, Vilanova goes, Pellegrini to Barca, the perfect one to Man City and Chelsea stick with Rafa . . . oh to dream.

I'm secretly hoping he comes to nufc. he never would though, ofc. but we can hope.
he's not quite a '100% wouldn't come to nufc' like e.g. a Mourinho might be, but the chances are less than 2%, i think.
I actually wouldn't be surprised in a weird way to see him at someone like Everton. He loves the city/north west understands Hillborough and gets the derby. Everton just couldn't afford him, but I'm fairly sure he'd consider it.
If he really wants to be in the prem I don't see why a club of Newcastle's size would be in any way unrealistic. The north east is also a football fanatic's dream, it has history, top fans and a great derby. I think he might jump at it.
That said he'll probably go to Madrid.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b01svp5s
A Panorama investigation reveals how police, politicians, lawyers and judges all played a part in burying the truth about Britain's worst football disaster.
Never-before-broadcast footage of the FA Cup semi-final in which 96 Liverpool fans died reveals a catastrophic failure by the emergency services, how lives might have been saved and how subsequent inquiries were misled.
And a former home secretary and former police chiefs are put on the spot about why a succession of official investigations left the truth hidden for a generation.

I've seen all the programmes investigating hillsborough, to me that was pretty much the most harrowing.

Incredibly powerful viewing and it highlighted the scale of the disgusting cover up by SYP and others.
It was only a few weeks ago that I was standing in that Leppings Lane entrance, on the corner of the road, and the general layout doesn't look to have changed much since the footage shown tonight. It's not difficult to imagine a crush developing there with 20,000+ people in that space, never mind the aftermath of people then being funnelled into an even worse situation inside the ground.

really not sure what to make of the links to Toure. ok so obv he is the wrong brother but is kolo what we need. Carra has left and that makes a big hole, so is a 32 yr old who is on a free but prob with big wages the way to go.
Think we are going to need 2-3 central defenders in this window.
Skrtel says he isnt following Rafa to Napoli

Kolo is good, experienced cover at the back. We've lost Carragher and Skrtel is a million miles from his best and could also be on his way out, so like you say we need several signings at the back. Maybe Kelly and Wisdom could come through, but think we need to sign some decent centre-backs. Fortunately, they're not usually anywhere close to strikers when it comes to fees.

Ashley Williams would be a catch would he not?
Rodgers knows him, very solid player, good character, not too old...

Not too old for a CB, and obviously experienced in the PL.

I would be surprised if Kolo Toure is coming to Liverpool to be cover with the world cup next year. I think he will be a regular starter and rightly so, this is a highly experienced prem player. He had a stella career at Arsenal and was reluctantly sold for £16m. Wasted some time at Man City as many players have but at 32 can be at the peak of his powers for Liverpool. Good signing to replace an experienced player like Carragher and maybe cheap because the move works for him too.
