If Liverpool can't replace him and BR says he wont be sold why make him train on his own? How does this add value to the player or ensure he makes a contribution in forthcoming games? Seems like cutting off your nose to spite your face. He's said and done bad things before and Liverpool didn't care but now they want to cost themselves a few million. You want to leave Luis? Oh ok, now put your bib on and get on that training field as normal until I tell you otherwise.

He won't be contributing in the upcoming games though

So it takes for him to want away for Liv to turn against him...just the year late imo.
imo, his personal views are of know interest to me, how he acts in his personal life again I don't care. He wears the red of Liverpool for 90mins per week, and I expect him to be dragged off the park in exhaustion because he is playing for MY club.
What else he does I don't care.
He disrespects MY club, saying he doesn't want to play for us, then yes I will "turn against him".
I am talking about biting someone, being banned for racist language, diving, cheating all while on the pitch. Seems Liverpool fans accept this was ok, but the moment he says I want to leave they find that unacceptable.. baffling.
I understand its baffling, but while I'd rather he didn't dive, if he does and its get a goal, very much not going to complain about it.
When I win something I want it to be because I was the better player, not because I cheated.
In football there will obv be wrong decisions, eg penalties given when it wasn't a foul, corner given instead of goal kick. These things can lead to a goal but this is part of the game.
Diving though is outright cheating. As a fan I don't see how you can defend it.
Given the option between winning via cheating or losing I'd choose to lose every time.

Personally yes, 100% agree. Hate cheaters and cheating in general. Would I prefer we scored a legit goal, rather than a handball that was deliberate, yes, every time. Would I condemn he that committed one though, Not at all.
I just don't see it like that when it comes to Liverpool (and England for that matter)
Fowler, Di Canio, should be applauded for what they've done in the past;
So I'm not defending diving/cheating, but I certainly wouldn't 'publicly' admit it was wrong, as to me as a football fan that seems wrong, to openingly critic your team in that manner! I'll always defend to the hilt, whether I have a case or not. To my fellow Liverpool fan, we can have an open conversation about how annoying and embarrassing it is when he dives, but to another "rival" fan, never.
I wasn't condemning Owen when he dived against Argentina, loved it in fact. Not sure anyone has ever complained about '66, etc, etc.
Best example to try to explain my illogical mindset on this. '89, Arsenal Liverpool game, Thomas broke free - Stevie Nicol, lunged at him, not the ball, at him..pure and simple to knock him over, nothing else on his mind. Am I glad he missed, and didn't "cheat" to win us the league? Not a chance.
I can't be the only one surely?

I was fine with Owen diving against Argentina because I find it perfectably acceptable to cheat against Argentina

Great post.
There are levels of bending or breaking rules.
Scoring when a man is down. Influencing the referee. Getting the 4th official to add 88 minutes of extra time. Handling the ball before slotting it home. Appealing for a pen/corner/throw in when you know it's not. The list is endless. If this stuff is unacceptable you probs shouldn't have celebrated that 98th minute win against your bitter rival when it wasn't your throw in as your man cheated! Shame on you!
Being a despicable human being? Oh that's different. If you've bitten someone on a pitch you deserve shooting obv. Stand up Jermaine Defoe. What a scumbag. Really? Probably not eh.
Whilst saying all that, Suarez is clearly a wanker this week.

Madrid.
I'm convinced of it.
Really?
It's pretty widely reported they cannot afford 85m for Bale. 140m for them both seems a stretch.

What is the deal with that? He clearly loves MU. Is it excuses for a freer role/bigger contract or any truth in it?

I have found it interesting that BR interviews around it, the wording is more definite when on about selling to Arsenal, thats clear, but we are merely "adamant" he's not for sale in general. Rather than saying, will not sell to anyone. With Bale seemingly being priced out, they could conceivable move for Suarez, who they could get for £50-55m say.

Sounds like West Ham are interested in Downing for a reported £6M.
As Suarez would do, I'd bite their arm off.

Meh , i'm really not bothered if he stays.Seems unlikely now that we will be getting a new left back and i think he would be an adequate replacement for Enrique after ten games when his form declines.
