Our midfield without Lucas is worthless. Great game. Shouldn't have been though.

Was a really good game should have I thought Everton were the better side although it's a totally different game with Allen scores, most worrying think for me is we keep conceding goals to set pieces and it's a problem for a long while

What is the most realistic position Liverpool will finish this year?

At the start of the season I would have said 6th if lucky MC, C, MU, A, TH, L

But with this start 5th?

Given the start, think it would be poor now to finish lower than 5th. Looking a pretty deece side whilst lacking a bit of penetration/guile from midfield.

5th minimum and have a strong run at top 4 I woulda thought

top 4 with two goalscorers and a decent squad in depth behind them

Real progress, knocking one of Chelsea, Arsenal and the two Manchester sides out of the top 4

Suarez in January. Definitely staying? a risk he goes?

5th absolute minimum. 3rd/4th will depend at present as much as others (mainly cfc mufc) on whether they continue to struggle. If they do genuinely feel we'll be able to take advantage.

Arsenal/city too far from us in most things. Spurs/Everton/soton all shoulnt trouble us if we are serious about top 4 challenging.

If we are in the hunt for CL can't see how we'd do such a u-turn on making him available. I'm sure the papers will make out different.

I'd like to think we'd be actively stating he isn't going anywhere to avoid a distraction at a crucial time of the season.

However if we are out of the running in anyway, very hard to keep, so I'd expect a pre-contact agreement with someone.

Still think the league has Liverpool in a 'false' position.  Managed to win games without necessarily deserving the win, but some say that's the sign of a good side.  I think they're on the right side of variance, the question is can that be maintained throughout the season?

Fortunately, the other sides in and around them aren't setting the world on fire either.  Maybe Liverpool can continue to ride the positive side of variance, I mean stranger things have happened.  Rastafish won a deepstack AND the Monte Carlo at DTD...

Think we can finish in top 4 have been unimpressed with spurs and Man U we have two strikers scoring goals which will help us,we can't afford to let Suarez go in jam if we get top 4 and he still wants to go then fair play

@TonyBarretTimes. Daniel Sturridge suffered suspected ankle ligament damage in training today. He's had a scan but severity of injury not yet known.

Could be a blessing in disguise.

No more playing 3 at the back to fit Suarez/Sturrdige in.

Suarez up top with Coutinho in the 10 position.

Poor display today - lack of depth and quality in the squad exposed, and a reality check for some who have been seduced by some of the results so far and the position in the league.

Embarrasing.

The only positive is that Mignolets kicks stayed on the pitch.
