I'm a United fan, but I'm be sad to see Suarez go. When you weigh up his good moments & bad I think he's comfortably in credit for Liverpool. To think he could have gone for £40m (and a £1...) last season depending on an assessment of his contractual terms too. So £75m in light of all the facts is very good business. The fact is though, they're losing a player who at his best is a footballing genius, and for most of last season that was his modus operandi.
In that respect, I really do think Liverpool need to go out and make a proper marquee signing to be competitive in the title race next season. Sanchez would have been an ideal replacement, and I think anyone finishing above Arsenal next season wins the league. Such a massive signing for them in terms of having a true world class player with the pace to get in behind a defense, their first player of that quality since Henry. When you add in the injuries of Walcott, Ramsey and Chamberlain last season and all 3 likely to be fit for preseason, their squad is going to be very strong for this one.
I think this proves Liverpool really are just a stepping stone club at best for any major footballer in world football. It's very hard to not see them regress straight back out of the top 4 next season. Just can't see who they can sign marquee player wise to replace Suar so they have to take a massive step back next season. Quite incredibly Coral offer 11/10 they finish outside the top 4 next season. Suggest all the Scousers on here load up so at least you can profit from the obvious regression which is going to occur next season. Lol poor effort once again. Any prem club is a stepping stone to Real or Barca if you are from Western Europe or South America. Anyone who thinks otherwise is deluded. I agree on Liverpool not replacing Suarez (you can't) but compared to some of the fantasy lists of players I've seen on the Manure thread recently I'm just happy I'm not deluded.

I think Liverpool are a stepping stone club for far more clubs than just the big 2 in Spain. I would confidently say in the next 5 years liverpool will be comfortably below at least 10 major european clubs in terms of attracting players and players like suar will use clubs like liverpool to jump up the ladder to the elite 10 clubs around europe.

Happy to bite; Who are those that are above us now? And who will be the 10 in 5 years?

The first two words sum this post up. That's your opinion ofc but that is not what's happened.

His post (with no evidence) said Liverpool will be a stepping stone club for these larger teams. That part of it is mere opinion, and probably connected to his support for his own club. Thin.

Champions League betting for next season would be a good place to start. There are 10 clubs ahead of you in the betting for this. Add to this the fact you are odds on to not be in the Champs League in 2015/16 then the list will only grow. http://www.oddschecker.com/football/champions-league/winner

How happy are you being such an obvious troll? You didn't even get a post in on Suarez before the "I'm my opinion.... Feeder club..... Bigger clubs than you" aren't you bored yet? You have more agenda than the s*n.

Anyway the betting to Win the CL is not the same as being able to attract players. These days CL is a must for attracting the biggest players, then wages, then trophy ability. I'd be interested who you think are the 10 that are/will be above us

Arrboys right tho. One good season doesn't mean you're an elite club. Obv history wise u are but in the modern game you're nowhere near the top of the food chain. Can see that changing if Liverpool can build on last season but it's a huge if. Personally I can see you finishing 7th or 8th this year

Agree with the elite part George, but i do take umbridge we are not in the top 10 in attracting players! If only you were a betting man as id happily take a wager on your prediction somehow! (Ive been here before!)

Respect your opinion ofc. Very much so. Sanchez was drawn to Wenger, never going to win that battle! Lol
