Yes, got a feeling he's going to be a bit of a star.  Hope I'm right.

The first pre-season match yesterday against Brondby was a combination of the reserves and youth sides - with two different sides put out in each half and neither consisting of a first-team starter (other than maybe Coutinho).

Jordan Ibe looked good when he came on, and at 18 he could be another Sterling in the making.  Be interesting to see if he goes out on loan, or if he's included in the 1st XI squad and plays in the cups and is used as a sub.

Liverpool pursuing Remy over Bony. Can get Remy for £8.5m compared to £19m for Bony according the the chatter

this has to be right, doesn't it, on both price and likely goals this season? (motivated Remy in a good team, the assumption)

Not sure what the difference in wages is, but at first glance seems to make sense.  Bony has a very good goal to game ratio though, but not sure he'd fit in to a Rodgers' side.  Remy would indistinctly make more sense - although he'd have to accept being the understudy to Sturridge - wouldn't he?

That is a very good bit of business. Done well to get £14m there for someone who was out on loan last year.

Between Borini Reina and Asaidi we're picking up £25m. Bonkers.

Other way around for me. Bony looked v good in Europe too. Remy has been drink driving, rumoured to be a bit of a pest near women, refused to play Liverpool on the last day of the season when 100% fit and he's generally a thug.

Bony, for a man his size is technically very good.

Aspas, Assaidi, Alberto and now Borini. Good work Liverpool. Now to spend some of that £100m…
