Assuming he has a good hand why would he take the check/call push turn line?

Why not check raise flop or check the turn?

He doesn't check/call, he leads out on the flop...

If I was in a suspicious frame of mind I think I'd put him on the flush draw and call. But on balance I suspect it may be a fold to a stronger ace or even possibly a set of or with him betting in the hope you've got the A and will pay him off.

I like it up here on my fence.

On reflection, I think that last bit is probably nonsense. If he's decided he's got enough to play it for all his 20 bbs, then I doubt he'd bet 400 into a 500 pot, possibly pushing you off your hand. Especially since he hasn't played a hand for 15 minutes and is presumably looking for a decent spot to pick up a decent pot.

I reckon he's got the flush draw, and maybe picks up a pair or a straight draw as well on the turn. I don't think he wants a call here.

Depends a bit on the buy-in.  Ppl don't normally lead into a pf raiser with an ace on board with a draw, and in fact in general I get worried if anyone gets involved post-flop with an ace high flop after I have raised.  Your table image tho is much looser than mine, hmmm I think there are a lot more made hands beating you than there are draws, so I'd be inclined to pass.
