This sex addiction thing is an interesting development over recent years though.
I reckon every single man in the world could potentially suffer from this condition. Me and all my friends are plagued with this affliction.
So I don't know how the doctors arrive at a diagnosis let alone a course of treatment. "Right Mr. Woods, so you're a multi-millionaire world famous sportsman, you can batter anyone at golf, you want for nothing, there is a queue of beautiful women waiting to have sex with you. And you had sex with some of them. I'm afraid this is the worst case of
toastylifeitis
I've ever seen. There is no cure. The only thing you can do to ease the pain is to hold a press conference and look very sad.
I doubt that. Sex
addiciton
is so intense that the need to have sex with anyone, including unprotected sex with a stranger or a prostitute, is forefront in the mind so much that you will risk anything. Having sex with a stranger at your daughters wedding would be ok, as would having sex with a prostitute in the room next door to the room your wife is sleeping in, while on holiday. You will go to immense risks to feed your need for sex, and like gambling addicition it's not always that fun.
I know everyone thinks its a laugh but actually it can be very destructive. It's an addicition after all.
As for cures - there isn't one - once an alcoholic always an alcoholic - it's the same. There are the 7 steps programmes, abstension is the ideal method, but in reality it's a real issue, which some pople use to excuse their occasional affairs. It's not the same thing.
When does "weakness", or "lack of self-discipline" become "addiction"? Are they,
could
they, be the same thing?

Back to more mundane things. Dieting.
Is "chicken breast (skinless) in a white wine & mushroom sauce" diet friendly?

Could not be going better.
Over a stone gone already - no hunger pangs, I'm eating plenty, but "good stuff", no crap. I go into shop & garages which are stuffed full of "rubbish" food & it does not bother me one bit.
I could not begin to describe how much better I feel, too. I feel mentally stronger, better about myself, & physically everything feels so much better, I walk with confidence & purpose now, my "stride" & gait is better, my knee is much less painful (less weight to support), every single thing about it is good.
Today is Day 18 - that's 20% of the way if I decide to make it a 3 month jobbie (I may make it 2 months. not decided yet), - & every day is a joy.
Naturally, once I finish it - the very day I finish - I'll revert to binge eating & shovelling rubbish down my gob. It was always the way with me. I blame someone for that stupidity, not sure who yet, but I'll come up with something.
And here's a thing. My daily Rennie intake was between 4 & 5 Tablets per day. (Of which 2 or 3 were during the night, as indigestion woke me every night). I had 1 tablet left of my previous "24 pack" on Day One of the Diet. And I still have that one Rennie in my pocket.
I'm sleeping so much better, & longer, too, and that has made a massive difference, perhaps more than the weight loss. I'm 'Enry Energy now, I'm the Duracell man.

If every day is a joy then why would you want to go back?
All this talk of sex addiction reminds me of a guy I once knew. He decided that giving up smoking would be easy and everyone who thought otherwise was wrong. To prove it he would give up smoking on January 1st and never smoke again. The only problem he had was he didn't smoke so he took up smoking for a year in preparation. Last time I spoke to him he still hadn't managed to give up.

Blogs are the same, they seem to come & go.
Camel's was a stonker, but it's moribund now, sadly. Paul Phillips "extempore" was the nuts, mainly because he only spent 10% of the time on poker, & his other stuff was breathtakingly good.
The Poker Bastard has lomg shut up shop, &
Mick McCool
& M3Boy seem not to Blog these days. Bainn's Blog died, too, in a welter of acrimony, ugh. So much aggro, everywhere.
Hmmm when is the South American blonde bash and I am washing my hair that day I think. Just so you know

There is no reasonable or sensible answer to that, & no excuse for so doing. But I just will. I like crap food. I've been on this diet/gorge myself cycle for over 30 years now.
It's one of my addictions. Or weaknesses.

I find it kinda funny how sex addicts only recognise their "intense problem" and seek help for it when their wives find out. Never before. Tiger could have checked into rehab long before his wife accosted him with a lob wedge imo.

I'm sorry, but sex addition sounds like a load of tosh to me. Like Mantis said, he didn't have a problem with it until he was caught.

it's not a 'load of tosh' it's a real issue for some people.
What is a 'load of tosh', and I think what you and Mantis are saying, is people jumping on the bandwagon and claiming they have a sex addiction, when really they just can't (won't) keep it in their pants.

Lordy Lordy, even I never got whooshed that time.
For those out the loop, & GreekBoy who may need a bit of help, Longy is referring to Mick's latest Blog, which included "slightly less than favourable" comment as to blonde & DTD, & the recent commercial tie-up. It's hard to figure a motive for Mick's rant, eh?
His Blog continues to be a good read on the whole, you have to do a bit of filtering, but it's good to hear about trips to different places. And if I stop enjoying it, I have this secret method I use. I stop reading it.
I escape personal villification this time, except by association with blonde & DTD, & my friends Rob & Nick, (I'm a good lad when I wear my Sky Poker & APAT hats, but a tosser when a blonde), but I've had the Mr McCool hairdryer treatment on there plenty of times in the past, & strangely, it does not trouble me overly.
I'm ambivelant as to Mick, live & let live, but I do feel for his sadness that Wallace, his old Labrador, is nearing the end of the road, & that was the only time I ever Posted a comment on his Blog, as I felt his pain.
Now, you will do as I all tell you........ NOW.

And alcoholics must just like a drink unless they seek help themselves?
