Domg some research for next door I was perusing the Tourney Poker calender from now until the year end.
I came across a most peculiar one, as follows......
"23th Oct - 7th Nov, Belgian Open Poker Championship, €1,700.
9 day Event, with 4 start days".

Sorry if I failed to explain my angle as clearly as I perhaps may have, but my curiosity was to a
nine
day Event, with
four
start days.
They have 100,000 starting chips & 5 hour Levels, or expecting 1,000 runners, or something?
Who sets aside
nine
days for a €1,700 Event, & why, are my questions really, I suppose.

Last year got 800+ runners so guess they have the demand to warrant 4 day 1's.

Thanks guys, it all makes sense now.
800 runners for a French "organised" Poker Tourney, in Belgium. You could not make it up.

Will they be using the TD's from the Partouche event?

In Costa Coffee outlets they sell various edibles at incredible prices, including little packets of Stem Ginger biscuits.
There are TWO of these Stem Gingers bikkies in a sellophane packet, & the standard charge is a whopping £1.
Yesterday, at Watford Gap Services, M1, I was charged £1.48.
Two biscuits for thirty bob!
I must be mad.
Sigh... for all my sins went to the Harlequin shopping centre in Watford yesterday as A) it was pissing down and B) the better half wanted a new swimsuit ( don't even ask).... now I've been to a few shopping centres recently lakeside, bluewater etc and have found most of the places to eat there serve the same god awful crap food, mainly from Algeria I think consisting of something that used to crawl in the desert on its belly.. all i want is something hot..filling and reasonably plain..not for me as I'd eat anything obv..but my young lady is a tremendously fussy eater FMEL..
We find some place tucked away in the rafters selling spag bol lasagna etc.... My companion had a jacket potato that tasted of sawdust and I had a the worst lasagna in Christendom that had less meat on it than a super model and was packed to the rafters with celery... WTF .... I could hear uncle Gino turning in his grave.. when was lasagna ever crunchy all for a reasonable 18 quid.... oh for a greasy spoon.

Played this two years ago Tony, it his the slowest structure ever. The blinds went 10 20, 20 40, 30 60, 40 80, 50 100, 60 120, 80 160, 100 200 and that was day one done. The standard is awful and every player calls every bet. It's in a small town whgich is like the set of Allo Allo and noone speaks english, inside or outside of the casino, well worth going to, altho expect the rulings in the cash game to all go with the home team!
Think Paul Jackson made the final last year, which is better than the year before when he was first out. Everyone gives u a round of applause when u get knocked out which Paul, as first out, thought was the locals taking the piss lol

Thanks Mr K.
If they tweak the structure to start at 5 10, to make it sort of medium-paced, I might well give it a go.
