So embarrassing.

He actually said "I don't suppose, while you are down there......."

There was ONE spare seat in Premium Economy - & it was next to me. At least, it was spare briefly, before some freeloader bagged it. Marv.

An old friend, Stu Fox, was across the aisle to me, complete with mega grinding Lappie.  He has a 2 year old kid now, Finlay Fox. Excellent.

A spurs footballer & female companion was on the flight, too - Dawson?

The cardroom was heaving, but Ceasars itself was as quiet as I've ever seen it. This was at 10pm this evening.

The day before I left for vegas, I was up at Luton Hoo at 5am, bird & nature spotting.

Crap photo, as per usual, & only Tom will be able to spot the heron, waiting for his dinner.

It's just THE greatest thrill to be able to observe a heron at close quarters.

Yes I can see him, but only because he is in the obvious place.

Not many people manage to photograph a heron in the wild Tone. A professional would have had a long lens and the bird would have filled the screen, but the principle is exactly the same. Well done.

Too tired to Post much now, been up for 26 hours +, but I'll do a report tomorrow, got some photos, too.

For the sake of the Staking thread, though, so that Mere can update the state of play, I have played two Tourneys.....

Ceasars 4pm Turbo, $100 + $10 for bonus chips. (There was a $20 reg fee, but I'm swallowing the reg fees).

Ceasars 7pm Deepstack, $100 + $10 for bonus chips.

Technically, I never cashed in either. Got TWO Penalties though, both for a single orbit. NO speech play whatsoever is allowed, "no talking during the play of the hand". Ugh.

Tuesday (later today) I'm playing the Noon Deepie at Ceasars, $230 I think, & Wednesday, the Venetian noon Deepie.

All good, but too tired to even think right now.

I know that they're American but I don't think that even they spell Caesar like that.

You'll be able to observe one in Vegas in a few days....

Those Caesars might well be worth a look if they're getting fields that big. From THM results the prizepools looked so much smaller. I guess more and more people are playing now.

Good luck today!!

I initially thought that I'd update the thread with a table of how much investors were making from each tournament. After some consideration I thought that it might be too complicated but since Tikay is simplifying things by not cashing, it seems pretty easy at the moment.

Event.                             Buy-In.                        Return on 1% stake.
Caesars 4pm Turbo            $110                                  $0.00

Caesars 7pm Deepstack      $110                                  $0.00

Should we have a sweepstake on the number of penalties our hero is going to accrue for talking during hands? Alternatively, I'll set the under/over at 92 if anyone wants a bet.

Good call on including the cents at this early stage - wouldn't want anyone seeing $0 and getting their hopes up that he'd had a sick min-cash and returned people $0.49, which was rounded down.

I thought that it might make the numbers look bigger and people would feel more positive.
