Lol, when I typed it I actually had'we need to get Gatso on the case to check it out' but then I took it out as it could have looked a little rude.
I think Coyle was the tricky one, he was born in Paisley but according to the article spent some of his time in Glasgow. Tho that could just have been to bolster the stat a little.

even at 30% it's quite amazing really though
is it cos being shouted at by a big scary glaswegian makes you do what you're told?

Same problem here, to be fair.
I guess it'll sort itself out soon enough, I just open another Tab.

When I used to play in goal for our 5-a-side team my nickname was “The Cat”
Not for my goalkeeping prowess though but because I would piss up the goalpost before each game.

Oh - I assumed the DTD deal had included new software with a reading element in it, was making a judgement on your post and had decided not to post it.
Mine always post first time. Just saying.....

Reading an article on the resurgence of Sunderland in the brief period Martin O'Neill has been with them, was a bit shocked to realise he is SIXTY next month - wow!
Obvious, really, but how time flies, I vividly recall watching him play under Clough @ Forest in the 70's, & I seem to recall that he & Clough had a bit of a fractious relationship.
He then served his appenticeship as a Manager here & there, & seemed to promise great things, being tipped for years to succeed Sir Alex @ Man U. Sadly, he never reached the expected heights, & apart from a few minor trophies, & some trophy hunting with Celtic, the great Managerial career never quite happened.
I guess Sunderland is his last big chance, & if he could make them a regular top six side, that'd be quite something.
He shows such passion, & woe betide any player who gives him less than 100%, or as this season's football buzz expression has it, (even Rooney manages to say it, with the words in roughly the right order) fails to "put a shift in". I like him very much, & hope he succeeds.
60 years old though, cripes. I hope I look as youthful as he does when I reach 60.
Am a bit biased as he gave my moribund club its best ever spell but the man is unrivalled at getting average players to outperform consistently. Has done this everywhere
As this is his main strength (motivation and giving a club belief) the prevailing view is that make him manager of a team of superstars/primadonnas and his skills would be less effective
Not sure this is true, would love to see him get a crack at Man U post Ferguson, Chelsea, Arsenal etc. Don't think he will, but would like to see it
I disagree on one thing, it has been a great managerial career.
Wycombe into the league
League cups for Leicester
Domination at celtic
Europe and Prem top 6 for Villa, who haven't been the same snce he left
Now 22 points out of 27, I think, in his start at Sunderland with the same squad Bruce had
Very impressive
Tighty - I cant believe that you missed MO'N's great success in mgmt at Grantham Town - OK there wasn't any success - but even he cant work miracles.
I was gonna pick up on Tighty's Grantham Town omission too. I beg to differ that he didn't have any success! It was his first two years of management and obv no trophies, but what he did do was create a massive buzz in the town by making a few of Notts Forest first team play a friendly against Grantham Town. Even I went to the piece of grass of a pitch just off the high street!

It's not weird, it's the forum software having issues. On another (huge) forum I use, they close a thread and start a new one after 1000
posts
, let alone 1000 pages, for exactly this reason.

For non-football fans - & there may be one or two........at Anfield last night, in the Liverpool - Spurs encounter, the pitch was "invaded" by a cat. Several headlines out there already, including "they thnk it's all over....it is meow".
The FA are deleting the You Tube Videos of it, ("Copyright Infringement"!) but you may see it here before they do.

If not, here is the little chap, parading in front of the huge crowd. Poor thing must have been scared to death. For non-football fans, the cat is the tabby one, the one in yellow is the goalie chap.
Reports are suggesting the cat was an undercover agent for the RSPCA investigating claims that Liverpool FC are forcing a donkey to work as a striker.

I read something last week that was incredible really, 35% of the current Premiership managers are from Glasgow.
Brought up in a hard school.
Just after the 2 minute mark.
