Dave Barnes has joined the table.
......and busted me.
I had A-A-5-7 ccdd.
Flop A-10-2.
I pot it, Dave calls.
Turn 8.
I bet, Dave sets me in.
He has a huge draw with 3-4-5-x (freerolling the low too, of course) and gets there.
Can't complain, think I was in decent shape, and Dave did nothing wrong either.
One of those things I guess.
Bugger.
Not "one of those things" at all.
Took me 4 minutes before I realised this was a terrible unforced error on my part.
He HAS to have the low locked, so I can only win half, unless I am very very lucky.
Jeez, what a rookie error, risking my entire tourney, and an above average stack, to win half the pot.
My worst play of the trip, & by a very long chalk.
Damn.
Not often we get into a spot in these bigger tourneys where we have a stack to take us very deep, & I messed it up.
I'm mortified with myself.
little confused by this. By the turn you still have the nut high hand, of course he has the low, but surely you cant give up what muat be a big pot at this point while holding the nut high?
The fact that oppo has a redraw and scoops is surely irrelevant, wp and ul imo (unless im missing something on my phone screen)
Feels a bit harsh to me too. But high and a low, he could have something fruity like TTQJ, a hand with just a handful of scoop outs like 2234, and A2xy is surely a likely plo8 holding?
And of course he did something wrong 345x is going to be a tough hand to play vs a raiser. Unless it is 2345, A345 or double suited then it is straight in the bin. Those might be in the bin too. You have 20 BBs or similar. He just luck boxed you with the nut run out for him.
Listen to Judge Judy.

Doobs beat me to it, I don't think you can reasonably get away.
And 345x is let's say rather speculative and needs to flop perfect.
Unlucky.

This is his Meisterwerk:

Christie's a huge Springsteen fan, but his lane closure nonsense got his idol's attention (alongside Jimmy Fallon) in a cracking bit of pisstake.

Surprised they have a 14, I have been assured it is worse than 4. Fairly surprised it has made its way all the way to Vegas.

At the Infinity Hotel, there are an infinite number of floors starting 40... and an infinite number starting 41...
I am assured by the hotel manager that they can still accommodate guests, however.
Am thinking of playing the Binion's Championship on Wednesday (and then Thursday). Six times less likely to flop a flush, but do you fancy it?

Am playing the Aria $235 PLO.
Nice structure, 12,000 chips, all levels, starting @ 25-50, 30 minute clock.
A whopping 209 entrants, of which 144 remain after the 4th level.
Not seen anything to go to war with, big or small, just sitting, waiting and folding so far.
Blinds now 150-300, have 10,700.

The Table of Death next to me includes Adam Wilkinson, Ian Woodley, Iwan Jones and Jerome Bradpiece. They arrived together, fashionably late, and all got plonked on the same table. Would rather enjoy being on that table, much hilarity is ensuing, though they'd probably knock me about a treat.

Above starting stack, at long last.
125 remain, average 20,000, I have 13,000 at 200-400 after flopping a lovely wrap, getting there, and getting paid off by A-A man.

I hate it when that happens. So much potential for collusion.
Not referring to those specific players obv. but you know what I mean.

Negative progress resumed in unfortunate circumstances.
Raised it up to 1,100 with K-Q-J-10, dd.
Geezer flats behind, next geezer makes it 2,500.
I make the call, just throw the chips in but don't say anything.
Dealer then tells me that the raise was to 7,000, not 2,500. The 5,000 and 500 chips are near identical in hue.
I ask what my options are, Dealer says I either make the call or forfeit the 2,500.
I fold.
Not sure what the maths are here, might be a thin call, but the action behind suggests most of the paint is out.
They had A-A and K-K respectively, and the board ran out rag city.

There are a particular bunch of local pros on the PLO8 and PLO mini-circuit here who do that regularly. At a Golden Nugget and Binions you can, if you wish, choose whatever seat and table you want. Very exploitable.
