Crikey, just saw this photo, amazing how different he looks.

Hope you all recognize The Great Man.

He doesn't look as Slim but very shady with that beard?

Thanks Tom

Is Paul Jackson a Blonde?  If so, there were 2 of us at the final table.  He was 4th I think.

Really didn't recognise him at first.  He was disguised as an old grey haired man with a beard.  To be fair I am looking pretty haggered myself!

Gn all

I did see Paul, there earlier, complete with grey beard, and we chatted a bit.

At the time, Bankroll Supply, which he part owns and or runs I believe, had three players in the last 100 of the Millionaire Maker, including his son, Ben. All three later busted.

You're as big a bok as me, FFS!

Well played Doobs, super result.

Still downtown, I was surprised to see the Zipline has been extended right to the (Plaza Hotel) end of Fremont Street.

Actually, there are two now - a ZipLine & a ZoomLine.

Here's the difference;

But that causes a collateral problem - here's the current view of Fremont Street from the Plaza Hotel.

Hardly inviting, is it?

From there, you'd never know what delights are hidden behind that monstrosity of a bulkhead.

In fact, the entire area of Fremont Street, from The Nugget/Binions "junction", right up to the Plaza Hotel end is currently boarded up & undergoing redevelopment.

Guess it is long overdue, but I rather liked the quint "olde world" style it had.

Seemed like today's tournament just didn't get going for you.  There is always the next one.

Enjoy the sticky bun and choc ice.

As an aside did your post count reach some crazy milestone.  I'm sure I saw before this years Vegas staking took off it was on some very nearly round number.  It hasn't just passed 1,000,000 posts has it, that would be insane right?

That would be insane, yes.

The "milestone" was 100,000, though I'm not sure I should be particularly proud of that.

How is Leon? Decided what he intends to do with his life yet?

When will that wonderful new warship, HMS Queen Elizabeth, be visiting Southampton Water & Portsmouth Dockyard?

Think we'd come down to have a shufty at her. What a sight it must be.

I'm not at all sure there is any point paying £6 billion for an Aircraft Carrier, or whatever it is, but it's a jolly fine looking piece of kit.

100,000 here is 65,000 ahead of next door where 30,000 of those probably seem like you defending the site and biting your tongue because of some 56p fiasco or other.

Leo is great, finished his GCSE's a week ago and went suited and booted to his Prom on Tuesday.  So that's school done for him.  Onto the next phase of his life now which will involve school in Aberdeen which is a huge change for him but it'll be a good for a change of scenery I'm sure.  After that, university, where and when is to be decided.  So many changes in life when you're a teenager.

You calling him Leon (which you often do, but I don't mind) reminds me of Leo when he used to go to Saturday morning goalie training (he was a goalie for about 4 years in under-whatever age he was).  I went to pick him up after about 3 weeks and the coach kept calling out for Leon.  I thought nothing of it until I saw Leo answering to the instructions called out for Leon.  Turns out on week 1 of training the coach had asked Leo his name, Leo said it but the coach misheard "Leon" and called him that for the whole of the first session, after that Leo wasn't sure how to correct him.   Bit like when you're at work and meet someone, insta-forget their name and see them every day for the next 6 months but never actually hear their name again.  Bit awkward to ask after 6 months I'd say.

I haven't heard of any plans for the HMS Queen Elizabeth to be visting anytime soon, if I hear anything I'll let you know.

Currently looking around for a late cruise out of Southampton around August for a bit of country hopping and sunshine before the summer holidays end.  Never been on a cruise from here and the cruise terminal is about 3 miles from my house.

Hi Lisa,

Little one on Friday @ Binions, another at Binions on Monday,  also two big ones, Saturday and Wednesday at Venetian.

Am on my iPad, so can't link, but will bump the schedule shortly.

Am currently sat on a lovely Big O cash table. Yum yum yum.

As far as I can predict at this stage, the schedule is below. It could increase or decrease, more likely to decrease. Note that if I make any Day 2's, that will of course reduce it further if Day 2 clashes with the next comp.

There is a decent PLO/PLO8/O8 MTT on Monday 5th June, but Gill & I head off on the Amtrak West Coast Adventure at 0430 on the Tuesday, so it's probably best if I swerve playing an MTT which might run late on the Monday.

Thursday 8th June   Binions   PLO8   365

Sunday 11th June   Venetian   PLO8   600

Monday 12th June   Aria   PLO   465

Tuesday 13th June   Venetian   Big O   600

Friday 16th June   WSOP   PLO8/O8/BigO   1,500

Saturday 17th June   Binions   PLO   365

Sunday 18th June   Planet Hollywood   PLO/PLO8   600

Monday 19th June   Venetian   PLO   600

Wednesday 21st June   WSOP   PLO   1,500

Thursday 22nd June   Aria   PLO8   465

Friday 23rd June   WSOP   PLO8   1,500

Saturday 24th June   Venetian   PLO8   1,000

Sunday 25th June   Golden Nugget   PLO8   250

Monday 26th June   Golden Nugget   Big O   250

Tuesday 27th June   Golden Nugget   PLO8/O8/BigO   570

Friday 30th June   Binions   PLO   365

Saturday 1st July   Venetian   PLO8   1,100

Monday 3rd July   Binions   O8   475

Wednesday 5th July   Venetian   PLO/PLO8/BigO   1,100

TBA   WSOP   Satellite(s) to WSOP 10,000 PLO8   1,000

Bumped for Lady Lisa.

Hi Tony,
Just to let you know HMS Queen Elizabeth is due to " come home" to Portsmouth some time in October, all dependant on successful completion of sea trials and system checks.
The Navy have had to dredge the sea floor, to enable the ship to enter her home port, she is so big.
I can keep you informed of dates closer to the time , if you would like.
