On one of my tables at the Nugget, there was quite a discussion on The Master. There was quite a few tales of scummy things he has done and various places he has been banned from.
I did make the point if you are a prolific card counter you get pretty much banned everywhere straight away. If you cheat at poker, you only get banned from the one casino/chain and dare say a few of theses bans are less than permanent. Suspect the difference is who does the losing if there is a cheater in the game. Obviously this discussion was unrelated to Men.
Moving on, and genuinely unrelated to the above.
Do you know Miami John? He has quite some poker history. It was him I chopped with, and though I had heard of Miami John, I didn't know what he looked like. It was probably a good thing I didn't know who he was. Guess I should be honoured he wanted to chop with me.
Strange you mention these two together given they are top 2 on the all time tournie wins & cashes rankings ... some grinding over the years between them ( Men 95 tourney wins )

" The Master "was at my table last year behaving like a brat . In fact it was both him and Brandon Cantu which resulted in my immediate headphones on ultra loud
Well done on the $15 k Dave
Thanks Fraser and others.
Suspect those two are at opposite ends of the poker player scale. Nobody seems to have a bad word for Miami John and he was pleasant at the table and after.
Tikay, get back on that grind. No slacking now I have gone.

Morning all.
Am off to Binions for an 11am (7pm UK) start today.
No wifi there, so my iPad won't be in action, and my thumbs are way too thick to do updates on my phoney thing, but I'll do what I can.
As it's Friday evening back home, I wish you all a lovely peaceful weekend.

A223J facing an all in 37k bet on the river on a board of 46QT. Big O.
Pot is 111k total after he bets. He is big blind and potted flop (25k).
You have him covered. He is big blind, you are in position. Flop call is marginal, but we have blockers to the other nut low draws.
Wug?
Think I'm folding here although NFD might make me reconsider - assuming this action is on the turn.
On turn. I am the only one left to act. Edit. No flush draws. Think it was rainbow.
Bump for tikay.
Was a weird one. I did think I had a straight draw and the blockers to the low and the fact he was in the BB meant there was a good chance I was the only one chasing the nut low. And if I was then I had to call with the two gutshot high draws. Took some time to do so.
He snarled the "wtf are you doing calling with just the low draw". The gin jack for the scoop produced the angriest man in Vegas. Especially as he originally thought he scooped on the high cards.
Fwiw he had QQ777 and I was 42%. What surprised me was even if he had A2QQ7 it was still a call when I checked. Would have been a terrible fold then.

I think Dave Ulliot dubbed Men "The Beast From The East" whilst beating him heads-up for a bracelet.
How much did we win in the BigO game?
I believe, as the folklore goes, that is where the 'Devilfish' nickname came from

Decent structure that, especially considering the buy in is lower than some of the other affairs.
Fast and furious towards the end but that is to be expected and hopefully by then you are barely able to see the table due to the giant chip structure you have made.

No need to sweat it tonight either...
If you bust early you might still have time to hit one of the dope parties.
