Just last summer went to see TMTCH at a small field in Hook Norton.

Green Fields of France - still a big fav :-)

A great live band.

Back in 1991 i had a big family do to go to.But TMTCH announced a farewell tour and they were playing The Northampton Roadmender the same night. Obv i went to the gig. Some farewell,2008 and they're still going! lol

I'm listening to Waiting for Bonaparte at the minute.

Think any fans must have seen at least one farwell gig :-) Saw them a lot of times up to a farewell gig at the Mean Fiddler in Harlesden - god knows when that must have been but got a video somewhere of the gig.

I live in a small village called Tadmarton and couldn't believe it when I started to see flyers go up around the local villages that they were playing a tiny festival in a village 3 miles away - part of Oxfordshire folk festivals last year.

They were still great to see - no violin or accordion though so some of the songs didn't quite come across like you woulda wanted them to based on great memories of the band from their heyday -if they ever had one :-)

"When they shipped him back from Paschendaale, it was raining in his head
Caused not by any bullets, but the faces of the dead"

The Crest

Nice to reminisce Pelham - cause they weren't huge always nice to find someone who shares your love for certain bands

I left home at 1.30pm today, & was 90 miles South down the M1, in Luton, by 3pm. When I realised I did not have my Lappie with me.

You should get yourself an 8 Gig USB memory stick.!!  Use it to do regular backups of your data..  It is important...!!

Recently one of our employees had a car crash, the crahs was not that bad, but the laptop went form 50mph to zero and hit th dashboard.  The laptop was well and truly finished.

The guy had his data on a mem stick...  New laptop..  Copy from the USB mem stick back to new lappy...

Too many people cannot be bothered to do it and are left distraught when important data is lost.!!

Very pro job there, quality piloting.

Love how ATC in these situations always try and palm you off to another airport.

I am not sure he was pamling him off...  Once he had turned back to his downwind, he was heading directly to Liverpool so he was told he could go there..  Instead, he passed over Liverpool to Wallasey (probably passing over Liverpool) and then came back from Wallasey..  Wallasey is a good 40 miles from Manchester..

lol i know in this situation it wasn't the case but in a lot of cases they try their best to pass it over.

There was a famous one @ Heathrow where they tried to palm a guy off who was having none of it, pretty sure the ATC got the sack over that 1.

I think that is St Martin / St Maarten in the Caribbean, complete madness, runway is long enough for 747 to land but not take off with full fuel load, so you have to go back home via Santa Domingo in the Dominican Republic.

Scary but well worth it, as its just a beautiful place to go.  thumbs up

The take off's can be a bit hairy for sun bathers on the beach there too...

Been here a couple of times to play in the poker classics, I have a few similar recordings somewhere on my pc, the feeling when the big planes come over top of you is great. Fantastic island too.
