Just thought of another for List One - the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth. Some party there was that day - communal musical chairs & all sorts of edgy stuff.

The average amount of time served for murder in this country is 14 years.
The mother of baby "P" will be eligible for parole after serving just three and a half years.
Biggs was part of a gang that stole some money and made the police look silly.
They stole £2 million, which worked out at £200,000 each, & all got either 25 or 30 years. I never understood the severity of the Sentences. It was said it was because Jack Mills, the Train Driver,
got hit on the head
, but it was never established who hit him, so it seemed a bit off to give all of them 25 or 30 years inside.
As you allude, it might well be because they made such fools of the Establishment, in particular "Butler of the Yard" (lol) & Jack Slipper.
Really stop it with this shit - they hit the guy with an iron bar he never recovered from his injury.
The fact that various scumbags don't get the sentences they deserve nowadays doesn't stop these guys from being greedy violient men who deserved all they got.
This.
The romantic revisionist view that it was all honourable and gentlemanly is on the same level as looking back at the Crusades as a noble cause of good v evil.
of course it is, otherwise you'd just sit about like a miserable bastard all day moaning about everything.
Are you two really that naive that you think people who like the sort of ethos from back in the day arnt completely aware of the full extent of what happend? just lol.
It's the justification and romanticising in an attempt to pass it all off as
noble and gentlemanly.
...and you're the one moaning about our moaning.
yes buts it comparative to crime these days, people arnt just saying 60's gangtas are great and in comparison mother terresa looks like a right slag.
there wasnt drugs, rapes, muggings, and burglaries like there is now and this is where you guys are clouding the argument, women could walk the street safe, i'd take 60's society over over todays anytime.
If the penalty for that is beatings, killings and intimidation then i GUARENTEE that all 3 of those things happen far more in london today, the difference is that the gangsters of 50 years ago when far less violence existed wouldnt allow all the really naughty stuff to happen, and that's the point, you have to understand that arguments being put forward already take into consideration the parameters of the criminal underworld and understand the inherent immorality of being a criminal.
Where do you think all of this stems from Bolt?
I'll guarantee there were drugs back then although not the same nasty stuff you get now.
Where did the nasty stuff come from? Well there were drugs and there were drug dealers. The dealers were greedy so made more drugs.
Some dealers were very clever so they made highly addictive drugs.
People got hooked on these addictive drugs so had to do muggings and burglaries.
Yes it might have seemed safer back then but all the crime was feeding what we now have to put up with day in day out.
It shouldn't be tolerated just because they wore suits and opened doors for little old ladies. Make no mistake, criminals from the 60's are largely responsible for the crime we have now and criminals before them were responsible for the crime they had.
All that's happened is it's progressed with time the same as any other industry.

In Luton yesterday, an individual - Banned from blonde a while back - made himself known to me, & then spouted off the biggest load of drivel I've never heard the life of since I was in Primary School. He was really quite "cross" with me, shall we say, & I later discovered he'd Posted this nonsense all pover another Forum.
But at least I know how he got his online alias now.
Link please
The individual's name is "Bigusdikus". I believe he's Baned from most Poker Fora, bar one.
Thx

1 in 4 apparently.
Everyone where I am knew what they were...
Everyone here knew what they were too (all men). The 1 in 4 refers to the number of women who will need them, rather than those that know about them.
Do you guys spend your life in front of TV sets?
Ever thought of reading books, or learning about alternative broswers?
Someones got to watch you and Compo messing about...
Oh FYI I played the Jacks beautifully
OP last night not inflating the pot pre and then catching Nirvana with his girly man bag round his ankles... unfortunatley he runs better than Linford Christie with a rocket up his arse...
Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, clearly.
At 50-100, it went 300, Call, Call, Call, Call, Call, Call, Call, Call, & then you,. in the BB, FLAT-CALLED with Jacks.*
* Some of this may not be true.
Not as reported... 300 from fenland paul call nirvana..me bb flat...i could make it a gazillion more and they would still call...(also i didnt actually see Nirvana call...his sneaky like that as you know) ...you see play the players not the hand...so managed the pot and see what happened as OP..bad flop re evaluate good flop nicely disguised..mind you the most surprising thing about the hand is Fenland Paul folding 9 9 on a four high flop...must have caught his head in the combine harvester..
As for Nirvana he does more drawing than Rolf Harris... he tangled with young Banksey later on as they got around 80bb in on a 2 diamond flop banksey called all his money with no hand queen high flush draw... which lost to nirvanas no hand nut flush draw LOL....

I met him at DTD 2 weeks ago and he was actually quite a funny guy.
I obviously told him what a legend you are and that as our leader here on blonde poker you were like a cross between Jesus Christ (assuming he existed Kin) and a Water Lily so it must be said that he's gone back down in my esimations again for giving you a hard time.

Well yes, it's marginal, but I did explain why, earlier, why it was a "doubtful".
Also, I've lost a lot of friends because of some of my views on 9/11 (Americans mainly, to be fair, & they would struggle to see it objectively, yes?), so it's best I don't discuss it publically.

Nope, it never floated my boat, then, or now. It just failed to interest me then, & still does.
Try reading Crick & Watson, on DNA, & youi'll see a far more amazing story.
