I've not seen Lockerbie mentioned. Might've just missed it I suppose.

Definitely one of the biggies for me.

Dunblane was a chiller...and Andrew Murray surviving to become britains best tennis player since Fred Perry... British Tennis history held in the balance by a madmans aim...

I just remembered another, reminded by Donk's Concorde Post - Lockerbie.

I was in Kenya when that went down, & I'd flown there on a "Safari Airways" 707, painted in zebra-esque stripes, ffs.

On the way back, it had to land at Basle, technical problems, & I got rubber-gloved by Customs, after I'd said my Ciggies were within EEC allowance. It would seem Switzerland was not in the EEC though, my bad.

The Lockerbie thing really scared me, to be honest.

I went & visited Lockerbie recently - very non-descript, not at all what I had expected, & it's in that very bland part of Scotland.

Tianaman Sq

Challanger explosion

Chernoybl

Asian Tsunami

Tiananmen was one of those iconic moments - but unfortunately for many the larger importance of the demonstrations has long been forgotten.

The other three should be on tikay's list imo.

Tiananman Sq., and who could ever forget "tank man" ?

Apparently nobody knows for sure what became of him

Here he is...

Check your PM's Grandad, bolty and I are trying to organise stuff. He'll have his giant sky remote out soon if you're not careful!

Oops, OK, will do,. About 30 incoming today - mostly from fellow Mr Angry's, sigh.

Why do people PM you when they are angry?

Obviously you can't give details, but can you give us an idea? Blonde related i presume?

Yes, blonde-related. Angry peeps feel an empathy with me. Wink

I think what Tikay is inferring is that he's had a lot of PM's from people agreeing with the stance he's taken on certain threads/posts.

Lol, no, I was inferring no such thing! It said what it mean't.

[pedantic rant]

Tikay would have been implying not inferring.  Not that he was implying or inferring anything of course.

The person speaking or writing does the implying, the reader or listener does the inferring.

Yes - the paper-boy who was shot.

4 wrong 'uns, who were committing burglary when disturbed by Carl, all got 25 years minumum, including one who was only 17.

They all got long sentences because it could not be proven who murdered Carl - the same logic as prevailed in the GTR, when they all got 30 years+ because it was never established who hit Jack Mills.

After some years, their sentences (the Bridgewater Four) were quashed, as it was proven that the Police fitted them up.

Interesting story, very tragic, but not in my Top 20.

What would be in your Top 10, Craig?
