What sort of family doesn't visit or at least make contact with said care home for 2 years? Disgraceful.

The point I was hoping someone would pick up.

These days one has to make points in roundabout ways, so I found a hook, an angle, & hoped some woiuld get my drift. Some did. Wink

Being Greek, family comes before everything - you'd never see that happening to someone called Anna Evagelopolous.

Correct - too many vowels.

This Headline in The Times seems 100% inaccurate.

Undiscovered body

The body of a pensioner lay undiscovered for more than 2 years after her family thought she'd moved into a Care Home, an Inquest in Fakenham, Nortfolk, was told yesterday. Phyllis Szczyrbak was found in April after youths alerted police.

"Undiscovered body discovered" might be better.

All very sad for Phyllis, too, who has the odd distinction of having 16 letters in her maiden & surname, but only 2 vowels.

Out-Geek THAT Tighty.

Where is Nortfolk?               (i was born in Fakenham btw)

Sigh.

Today I've been corrected by a Scot, & a Fenboy. It does not get worse.

not quite a Fenboy but close enough for you i suppose

John Humphreys (R4, & Mastermind Host) had a little spat with Jeremy Paxman, the latter having suggested that Mastermind had been dumbed down, to which Humphreys took umbrage, & some media-fuelled verbal sparring resulted.

Paxman later described reports of his comments as a "confection of nothing".

Now that's a class comeback.

See when i read that i also saw that the youths were also obviously robbing her when they found her.

Given a choice of watching one of the other, I'd defo take University Challenge over Mastermind, even though I get more answers right on the latter (roughly two per series).
UC is unmissable imo. I'd reckon more than 90% watch it without ever knowing the answer to a single question, which is a stamp of quality imo.
Neither is as good as Masterchef though obv.

Another day done, & I'm incredibly tired for some reason. An early night beckons methinks. One of those every year does the world of good.

I've actually had a most pleasing day. The two new Sky Poker Presenters, Sarah Champion & Lisa Marie Long, both had a full 4 hours in the Studio with me today, just block-throughs & technical stuff, as part of their Training.

Then we spent a few hours on the Website, just tinkering with stuff, so they can do PTP's with some confidence. Both of them are playing "my" Deepstack tomorrow, so that's good.

As the saying goes, it's a tough job, but someone has to do it.

The SPT is coming along nicely - 28 seats had gone by yesterday - all via Online Sats - & tonight's Qualifier has 5 seats up for grabs, with, as I write, 7 players left. The player in 3rd place right now should be able to lock up his seat, it's "BEANEH" - aka, on blonde, TitaniumBean. He really should walk into a Seat now, Good luck him.

Quite a blonde benefit so far, with Jakally, Nutter5932 & Ding all safely in.

And Ding just qualified, moments ago, for a Seat in the DTD 20/20, well done her.

All sorts of little clouds hovering right now.

Big probs - BIG - in blonde, (not Forum this time!), nothing new there, always this or that is a damn crisis. We always fiddle through, too, but I really don't need the hassle. Only my obligations to my fellow Shareholders, & of course, Rich, who's been an absolute diamond, stop me from walking away from the Corporate hassle some days. Today is one of those days when I'm super-stressed about it.

A good night's sleep & I'll be up for puttting a few ***ks into a few peeps, & we will then resume our serene course towards total chaos. You cannot begin to imagine the trials & tribulations blonde has BTS.

But a good night's sleep also gives me that "damn you all, I don't do give up, give up is for wimps".

I got some personal stuff going down, too, all very sad. Nowt to do with me, really, but sort of is, too. Ugh.

And I have PM's galore which need replies.

And I have frigging backache.

I might even have a bout of grumpyness coming on.

I grimmed Flushy for £50 on Saturday. Astonishingly, he won, for the first time ever, a L-L against me. But I forgot to pay him.

Suddenly, I feel better.

So Keegan got £2,000,000 - 2 million quid - for damage to his reputation, after walking out on Newcastle. Wow, how did he get THAT one through?

But, to be fair, he cares deeply about NUFC, we know thatl because he said as much, outside the Courthouse, as he trousered the meaty kite.
