If everyone was just a little bit nicer when on blonde then blonde as a whole would become a lot nicer.
We could just ban Kin and be done with it

Finally, (in reply to Keith).......
".....I have the utmost repect for Tony Kendall, I wish he still posted here as much as he used to but blondepoker (and life) moves on, I just hope the people who have had their trust betrayed by Mr Blatchly get some closure.
I apopligise if I offended you Tony, my words really were thinking out loud.
I guess I was just wishing that blondepoker was the same forum that it once was. And it never will or can be that......"
It was not "offence" as such, Keith, I misunderstood your line, & I'm sorry. I hope my answers explain everything better.
It can & will never be the same as it was, times change, & so do people. I'm OK with that.
I just think someone has to draw a line sometimes, because if they don't, the fabric is destroyed, & people won't want to come here. People want to do & say as they want, "un-Moderated" is the dream. But it's been proven time & time again, "un-moderated" does not work, tourettes-style Forums have a one month shelf life, as some guys across at SP discovered. So a line has to be drawn, & I'm afraid that means conflict is inevitable in a society which challenges authority.
Time to move on. Has anyone acknowledged how hard Tighty has worked, almost alone, to re-invigorate this place? The man is busting a gut. Let's support him.

I have to go do some work now!
I have another new Tourney starting tonight, & my conscience is still bruised from my inattention last night. Prepare to be FB'd & Tweeted about an £11 Comp on SP.
PS - Please play on DTD.

Correct. I bet he rues the day, sometimes, though! One day, he'll get his reward.
I bet he's hurting a bit today though. People are disappointed I have not been around. There's a certain irony to that. Sorry Tighty, I'm sure it was not intended that way.

I was only alerted to the thread by Twitter, & on clicking the tweet out of idle curiosity, I accidentally found myelf on the Blatch thread, on Friday, I think. It was about page 30 or 40. I read 10 or so pages, & nearly threw up. I wish I'd never seen it. "

". Do I really pay £2,500 pa to pay for that sort of puerile drivel to be Posted?" I never looked again for 36-48 hours. I opened up blonde, yesterday I think, (not the Blatch Thread, just General Popker) & there, top of the Page, was the name of the latest Member. "KILL BLATCH". I mean, FFS.
God, I hated every line of it. I have not re-visited the thread since, & I doubt I will. I used to think, & say, that Gutshot Forum & Betfair Forum were bad, & represented everything I did NOT want here. Now we've joined that elite club. Marv.
....but hundreds of people decended from other forums/places on hearing the news,........you are bound to get a small lynch mob among them................ BUT these idiots will go as quickly as they came.

Todays "to-do list" next door.
World-Cup themed Press Release.
Large up tonight's T-o-T £11 Tourney via Twitter, FB, & the SP Forum.
Send out 4 or 5 "interesting" Tweets, so that when the spammy one goes out, they might still look.
Write 6 Bios of the players we are taking to Vegas next week.
Write a "BIG GAME" based Blog. Slide a spammy link in the bottom.
. Get that uploaded onto Sky Sports.com. (MASSIVE traffic & SEO there).
Spend an hour on the SP Forum.
Continue with next chapter of "tikay's Sky Poker Academy" thing, which is a sort of anecdotal style mini-book. Don't ask!
Continue preparations for 2010/11 SPT. Agree venue locations.
Check this week's click-count.
Play tonight's Tourney, & two others, & spend 2 hours playing Hi-Lo Cash.
Do research for tomorrow's Recorded Shows. Because of the football, we are going into the Studio at 7.30am. What?!
The rest of the day is all mine.

Thanks for the reply Tony, I know you're a busy man these days and I really appreciate you taking the time to make such a detailed post.
Just a couple of small follow ups.
I joined blonde, no question. because you and DC asked/wanted me to.
I was getting sick of the amount of abuse I was getting on HM and Gutshot forums and started to post a bit here.
The reason I stayed?
AndrewT's gut wrenchy puns. Snoopy's fantastic poker writing (I think he has bloomed into one of the best poker tournament updaters in the world), Kinboshi's wit and elegant posts. Ironside's appalling speelng. Scottish Dave's terrible sports betting tips. Claw's battles with herself. Ralph's superb words of wisdom. Tighty's intelligence and thoughtful posts. The really fun railing threads. The updates which used to be fantastic, The ribbing of Flushy who now clearly one of the best poker players in the UK and probably the world. And possibly most of all Tom's fantastic anecdotes, There have been times I haven't seen eye to eye with Tom over various things, but I admire the guy greatly, I think he thinks I don't like him, which is a tremendous pity, because I absolutely adore him, I have just come across a little too caustically about my disagreements with him mostly about the structure of poker tournaments. Apologies for anyone I have missed out.. was just trying get a flavour of why I stayed here.
It's a real shame and a pity I've never made it a blonde bash. I really would like to buy some of these characters a beer some time, I've met well less han half.
My days as a tournament professional poker player are drawing to a close I think. Jake starts school in September, I couldn't bear too be away from him for weeks on end (he travels with me to most tournaments at the moment). I will still show my face at occassional UKPT and UKIPT events. Maybe still go Amsterdam as It's only a 45 minute flight from Teeside. And I would be pretty daft to miss the wsop main event. There is a chance, maybe a small one at the moment, that I may be part of a very exciting new project which means I leave poker altogether. But whatever, I will really, really try to make the nest Blonde Bash. Let's hope there is one. And let's hope Tony can make it too.
My question.. What was the post 6 months ago which was a clue that the Blatch's syndicate was a scam?
The honest reason I didn't invest was I couldn't stand the bloke. Giving it the big "I am" all the time. I hated all the adulation he got too, although I guess that was understandable. I learned, long ago, the best way to operate in gambling was to GIQ, GET IT QUIETLY. He was the diametric opposite of the way I think you should be as a pro gambler.
But I never, ever thought he was a fraud. His posts seemed to show insight and intelligence. He certainly has alot of the skjills necessary to be a pro gambler. But bankroll management is obviously not one of those skills.
That's all I think, I'm glad you understand what I meant with my original post now, it was never meant to be a dig at you just a general expression of regret at the way things have gone.
Take care and best wishes.

An AWESOME Post by Keith.
He's caught the "good" of blonde, & note how he omitted the toxic stuff.
Maybe good will come out of all this.
Go get a WSOP Bangle, like what Flushy did, Keith, for Jake.
Fancy brekkie or dinner at The Rio one night? I arrive next week. And I can eat as much as I want to.
PS - That "clue" Post wa not on blonde. That apart, my memory has failed me as to exactly where it was. I really don't want to keep adding fuel to the fire.
PPS - Keep Tweeting - I love your tweets! If you need my tweet addy, it's

Definitely catch up for dinner one night, but anywhere except the Rio! I have yet to eat in a restaurant there which isn't anything other than terrible.
As I would guess my favourite places to eat (Noodles at Bellagio and the tepanyaki at Caesars) aren't really your cup of tea we should go maybe to Cafe Bellagio, good wholesome food, which even you couldn't object to! You've got my number, give me a bell when you get here and we'll sort something out.
