Vanessa Rousso also studies law at Miami University.

I'm quite surprised to hear that, Vince. Not sure why I'm surprised, but we build up mental images of people, & that does not fit, somehow.

Good to hear, though.

I think Barry Greenstein is next up on the list. Was he the Symantec (sp?) software? guy?

Yes, as I'm sure you know, he worked as a software developer for Symantec.

I was interested to clarify that specifically, as versions of the story seem to vary wildly.

The ensuing story was a corker, as it happens, & blew apart many a myth. And the reasons WHY he got involved with Symantec were even more remarkable. A most peculiar tale indeed, but very interesting. He has, it seems, been getting by as a pro poker player for the best part of 40 years. For someone who could not look less like a pro poker player, that's quite something.

Everyone we interviewed had to end with a "poker tip, to camera" (no interviewer in shot, just the subject), & we got a most extraordinary range of tips. The range was enormous, but Ram topped the lot - "Patience, & discipline". I think I may just have got levelled.

Nearly done now, just Jason Senti to do.

We got Barry G, David Benyamine, Ram Vaswani, Devilfish, Elky, Greg Raymer, Vanessa S, & a few others. (I seem to have left my short-term memory at home today).

Two of the interviews, sadly, were destroyed by an Irish poker playing "intruder", mouthing profanities to camera, who was a little tired & distressed. He'll see me tomorrow or whenever & ask if he caused any trouble, & apologise, as he always does. The last thing we'd want to do is allow him to be shown on TV in that state. It's really rather sad, but it was always so, or has been as long as I've known him, maybe 10 or 12 years, & I can't help but like the fella.

It was somewhat amusing though, as I interviewed DevilFish, who had his new book in his hand, "to camera", when our friend suddenly arrived in shot, put his arm round Mr U, seized the book, held it up to camera, & said "thish fucking book is an absholute heap of fucking rubbish". Not sure that will survive the Edit Suite.

Nor, hopefully, will my aside to a player in the EPT, as Greg R did his "tip to camera", when I said to my mate at the table "I decided to stop short of asking him for fashion tips". At which point, Greg called across - "turn your microphone off please Tony, it's causing feedback here".  Bugger.

Sim got called down by some guy with 66 and the pot was never shown! The guy who won the hand was pretty disappointed.

Incorrect. It was shown.

The Hand was shown in last Saturday's "Top of the Pots", upon which I had the Analyst role, & Rich Orford the Presenter, & it featured in our 5-4-3-2-1 TOTP Countdown. It's been repeated several times since, too, I would imagine.

Is that Top of The Pots by any chance?

Genius.

Oh my word - the Holy Grail of TV Interviews - I just "did" Phil Ivey.

We have had a good day, I'd say.

Now, time to go book into my Hotel - here - & then go buy that frigging stupid suit & shirt thing. Groan.

Still the day is one third done, just gotta buy those clothes, play that Online Tourney, do a few phone-ins, bust out (please let me be bad-beated), jump in a cab looking like God knows what, go to Mayfair, meet with the posh peeps at Les Ambassadeurs, play that Tourney, be given away, cab back to Hotel, & another day will be done & dusted.

Tomorrow, however, will be tougher, by a long chalk.

Correct. TOTP = Top Of The Pots. Patent Pending.

Orford & I are squabbling over who coined the phrase. It was me, obv.
