Respect to Mondy, who updates his Diary so frequently. Every single day I plan to update, & I never seem to get there. I really need to organise myself better, though in mitigation, I do have quite a bit on these days.
Anyways, for starters, it would help if I was fitter, physically & mentally, but before I lay out the plan to solve that, I need to put this tea-making nonsense to bed.....
I have updated my Diary every single day since starting it...

The "tea-link" by Andrew was a corker, but let's nail this once & for all. There will be no argument about this.
A cup of hot water with a tea-bag slung in it is not a cup of tea. You will be served it that way in most of the USA, Mainland Europe, & Africa, & even the UK now. Do what I do - refuse to accept it, or pay for it. That's not tea, that's a cup of hot water.
Tea-Making.
Water must be boiling, absolutely "on the boil" bubbling.
Tea-Pot to kettle.
Tea Pot must be china.
Tea Pot must be thoroughly warmed.
Tea goes in just before the boiling water.
Leaf tea must be used.
Use a linen tea-strainer.
Use a bone china cup or mug.
Put the milk in the cup first.
Allow the tea to brew for 3 minutes.
Pour lovingly via tea-strainer.
Add sugar or sweetener as preferred.
Stir with a proper stirring implement. A silver spoon is desirable.
That is how HM The Queen makes it, & that's the only way.
End of debate.

Not accurately, though. I have never referred to you as a fat pig, as I don't believe we've had the pleasure of meeting. Until then, I shall remain polite as to your stout-ity-ness.

I've lost my zing & zest, my snap-pop & crackle.
It's because I've heaped back a load of weight, & am eating badly, & too much. During last year's diet, I never touched a Rennie, or a Nurafen, I slept like a log, & bounded out of bed every morning full of gusto & stuff.
Now I'm all washed up, have a permanent headache, can't sleep properly (need a nap every afternoon), can't get up in the morning without a great effort, am getting through a pack of Nurafen every day, & am downing Rennies like Smarties. I'm still getting to the office at 7am, & playing Online (or Live) most evenings until beyond midnight, & I carry various other responsibilities, some of which weigh heavy. But not as heavy as me.
I'm also grappling with Operation Salvage, at home.
So I need to sort myself out.
The 2011 Diet starts, probably, later this week, as soon as I get myself some new scales. (These are a vital part of my diet regime).
I had ballooned up to 16st 6lbs early last last, felt dreadful, then dropped 5 stone & felt amazingly good.
I don't know my current weight, but I fear I've lumped 2 or 3 stone back on.
So, I'll get some scales, have a weigh-in, then start. Until I know my current weight, I can't set definitive targets, but Month one will almost certainly have a target weight loss of 1 stone.
My Diet regime is simple.
Eat less.
Eat better.
Sleep more.
Weight myself daily, & plot the weight on a graph. It's a terrific psychological & motivational tool.
Zero-tolerance. Those odd "treats" are a killer. No exceptions.
Carry, as I did last year, my "teaser" Snickers bar with me everywhere, 24/7. I stick fingers up at it every day, "sod you".
Job done.
I can't believe how stupid I am. I felt incred last year whilst dieting, now I'm all lethargic & plumpy. Sod it, I've had enough.
My only problem is AFTER the diet, I pile it all back on. Still, it's fun both ways, it's just the bit where I am now that is a pain.

The luck quotient in poker continues to fascinate.
In Sunday's £150 at Luton, I had no hands, no imagination, & was being outplayed by everyone, the Dealer included. Chompy was farming my Blinds.
Eventually, he raises my blind, I find A-K, I massively overbet to represent weakness & get rid of him, & he snaps me off with K-K. Ship the rivered Ace. MBN, yes, but I never get comfy with being outplayed & getting lucky, it sort of sticks in the throat.
Down to 2 Tables, I make my annual 4-bet, & walk into A-J with 10-9, ship the 9-9-10 flop. Boy, I was proud of myself. Not.
The structure was awful, & it averaged 10 or 12xBB from 4 Tables out.
I finalled with 17xBB, & had a plan. Everyone would be shoving, so I'll sit-out for a bit & admire the carnage & ladderage. Nearly £4k up top, & I know 100% the top 4 or 5 will chop it up, so I can nick up to £2k here. That'll do nicely.
Instead, everyone serial-folded to any aggro, Carlo included, me included, & before I knew it - an amazing 90 minutes later - we'd only lost 1 player!
In short, I played it all wrong, & ended up 9th, for £340.
So, got mega lucky & still only minor cashed. I'll take the minor cash every day, but I messed up that Final a treat, it was THE perfect Table to shove shove shove.
On Thursday, I tried dancing, & it went all poo, too, running 4-5 of clubs into A-A, & 3-4 of clubs into the same hand.
Think I need to stick to what I know. Getting lucky, & being patient.
Oddly, & we are back to luck now, it works for me, & I achieve all my poker goals, including monetary. Odd.

What I feel like (health), & general sense of well-being.
Looks? Suffice to say, if Sky Poker switches to HD later this year, as is probable, I'm out of there.
Gypsy Question for you Tom.
I've finished that book, "King of the Gypsies", awesome, though I started fom the middle, so now I have to read the first half. Don't ask, please.
Anyways, Bartley (Gorman) talks about traditional Gypsy pursuits - bareknuckle boxing, fishing, hare-coursing (now illegal I believe), & "lock-jumping". Lock jumping?

2 questions sir:
- How does massively overbetting represent weakness?
- Why did you want to get rid of him? You have the nuts
