Ugh, I've tried to resist latte all morning, but I am so weak, I need to go find a Starbucks.
More incredible poker action from my crash-bang tables soon.
PS - I'm on holiday today, please note. Proper holiday, like NO WORK.*
* I did do a "Good Luck Sky Poker's Thewy" tweet earlier, but that's not really work.
Why don't you go and find a driving range and get a little practice in?
Yeah. And get off facebook! Thought you weren't keen on that place.
Wow, I cannot do a thing without someone spots me! But you are right, I don't much enjoy going on there.
I was on there to pinch a photo of someone, a young lady, for my next Diary entry. I don't just Post on a whim, you know, it's all planned out. Sort of.

Incredible numbers from Unibet (poker) today - wow. This was BEFORE Black Friday.
Unibet plc today announced its interim report for the first quarter of 2011 with poker revenue suffering a colossal 44 percent decline to £3.98 million from £7.1 million in the first quarter of 2011.
Combine that with the pre Black Friday declines at i-poker & Laddies, to name just two, & the picture becomes clearer. Online poker will survive, and prosper, but the landscape will change almost beyond recognition.
Here's the full piece.....

especially the problems at THM recently, followed by the Full-Tilt probs. We could not agree who had come out of the DoJ debacle worst, FT or 'Stars, (I thought the latter had)
problems at THM how can their #1 fan and un official marketing director not know what this is about (am i allowed to know pm accepted)
and do you not think THE FORMER (says latter) came out worst. cant see Barney arguing Stars come out looking better and you having to fight tilts corner. i thought stars seemed to be taking it in their stride and tilt were slower in paying out and suffer more as their global % market share was less than stars sompared to their us market share.
love how your comps go by the way. how can yo yo call you even holding ACES. you do so much for him. best of luck in the champion of champions thewy....and in your search for your next bloody sponsor

You must have been aware that the THM Forum was offline via "normal" means of access for some 2 weeks, this was a month or so back. They had a rather bad hacking issue, I gather. Very sad, & there but for the grace of God, so there was no gloating from blonde.
As to 'Stars & FT, of course Barny hopes FT come out better, or at least OK, but he's a pragmatist, & it is obviously a worry to him & the lads. I offered the view that I think Tilt have come out of it slightly better, but it's not clear cut.
The "slower payout" issue is deeper than most seem to realise, it's not so much the Rooms themselves, as the problems with the payment processors that caused delays to some players withdrawals. I exempt UB from this, of course, that's a whole different bag of stinking fish.
I got my money off both 'Stars & Tilt with no problems, though it was not much, about $3k in total, I pretty much just use them as a "player transfer bank kitty" for staking & stuff. Having said that, there's no way on earth I'd leave any meaningful mounts of cash on either site now, no way on God's earth. Plenty will mock that, well fine, but if the ship sinks, believe me, I won't be on board.

I am intrigued why you think Stars got the worst of this. If you did a straw poll of which of the 3 sites have come out best, stars would win by absolute landslide both sides of the atlantic imo.
Maybe you know stuff I don't!

Not to mention his apostrophes and past participles.

So, yesterday's day off began at aboiut 6.30am, at Richmond Park, which is only 10 minutes from Heathrow.
I did a quick wiki on it before I went, see....
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richmond_Park
Cliffs?
It's nothing short of magnificent, & has the 2nd largest "walled garden" in the UK, & the wall itself is officially a Listed Building.
You can see St Pauls Cathedral from one part of the park, which covers over 2,000 acres - 3 times bigger than New York's Central Park.
It was the deer I wanted to see, & they were plentiful. I believe there are some 600 there, but sadly, they have an annual cull, to keep numbers down. Ugh.
It even has a Parliamentary Constituency named after it - Richmond Park.
Deffo worth a visit, & I plan to go again, very soon, preferably at first light one morning, when the air is fresh, & the mist is hugging the ground.
Please go take a look, take your kids if you can, if you enjoy nature, you'll adore Richmond Park. And it's free!
