speaking in an appraisal this morning I mentioned when talking about my future in the industry, well it seems like all who are in power don't have a scooby doo about poker. It's very true and quite frightening as there may be no industry in 10 years at the rate they are going.

A few racehorse examples....
Gotta Pee
Hoof Hearted
Horsing Around

Onewaytickettothegluefactory
Really Fast Horse
Shergars missing foot
Shouldabeenaclown
Only be uncultured owners.
Badly-named racehorses rarely excel.
There was one prolific 2-year-old who's amusing name got past the censors who must have been from darn sarf.
Shy Talk
Edit: By an odd coincidence when I tried to look up Shy Talk's racing record I saw that it was by Sharpen Up!

It baffles me, too, but we can't be too critical in a one sided debate, we don't know their thinking, their focus. I've been a very patient Ladbrokes shareholder for the best part of 30 years, & I'm hoping that eventualy, "tomorrow" will come.
Make no mistake, the business is fine, the Brand is solid, even though Group revenues are a tad down y-o-y. Still, the Online Gaming market is exploding with growth right now.
Poker is a tinsy winsy piece of their overall business, though. Overall Group Revenue for 6 months was close to £500 million. They are a shade down on the same time last year, but they still return an operating profit of nearly 17% on that £500 million.
Poker's part in that? Here's what the 6 month report said.......
Poker net revenue fell 30.8% during the period to £7.4 million. The number of actives in the first half fell by 21.3% with customer yields down 11.3%
.
So it's absolute peanuts in context of the business, & I can't help think they've given up on it, Management time is better spent on more productive & rewarding areas of their business.
Their 6 month results are here.....

e-mail just in from Bluff Magazine. Note the rather presumptious part enoldened.
Bodog’s latest software update introduced some pretty radical changes to their poker client. A significant feature included as part of this update is what they are referring to as “all-site anonymous tables,” which basically means that they no longer shows player’s screen names. All players are now simply numbers at the table (player001, player002, etc.). In a press release, Bodog stated, “This feature stops poker pros accessing any data on how you play your game via the use of HUDs and other data mining sites.” We apologize for the obvious inconvenience that this will cause you,
but until Bodog reverses this feature
, we will temporarily halt all Bodog tournament data gathering.
There's confidence in the new product for you.

The whole thing baffles me. This aside, they are professionalism personified as far as customer service goes, and I think their software is the second best available.
I can cite half a dozen instances where they have gone above and beyond what anyone could reasonably expect to keep me happy, and if that has meant writing a few ££ off, that hasn't been a problem.

anon tables can actually make a lot of sense when you consider bodog's positioning.
if they do this well, it could be very, very good for them.
