I can feel a coup coming, and you'll need to pop down to Starbucks for a top-up in the break.

Can hear the tearing from here.

Glglglgl

Thanks Dad.

You sorted a name yet?

Not yet. Only had 9 months to think about it!

Got it down to two earlier, then asked cos for advice, and he kinda crushed both. Back up to 25 possibilities again, I think.

You have to name him after you Vin.

You just expect someone with a name like Vincent Caleneti to grow up looking something like this, and he might be the one.

Folks - I need to say a big thank you to Tikay .

On the morning of day 2 at the WSOP Seniors Tikay was a star . We were 30 off of the money bubble and having had an accident in the last level of day 1 having been above average chips  all day  , I was trying to nurse a bowl of rice to a cash.  Having cashed at the WSOP before and knowing how quickly players get eliminated , I felt like I could fold to a cash and then go from there.
Have got my seat assignment the night before and I am ambling to the Amazon room about 10 minutes before the start of play .  Without me knowing Grampa Tikay  is waiting for me  at the end of the corridor as animated as can be. Almost breathless with excitement he says " I've found your seat , we've got time , come with me " and we go to the media centre.  He is like Mother Hen and says without pausing for breath  " I think you can fold to the money. I've had a word with Barney (Boatman) and he thinks so too. 8 of those reported as still in haven't posted a chip count and  are probably out so you are less than 20 off the money. I know where your seat is, you're in Seat 7 and I think the button is the 9 seat so you will have a few hands before you post your blinds"

He had taken the time and trouble to understand the dynamic of the tourney, found my seat , had a chat with Barney etc etc and all without me saying a word . As far as I knew he didn't even know I was in the tourney and here he is waiting for me with words of advice . He literally counts down the players getting knocked out and we get to hand-for hand.
It's always the greatest atmosphere at the WSOP money bubbles and for those of you who have never been , I hope you will get the opportunity to experience it. The TD suspends play and instructs the dealers to deal a hand and when that hand is completed they are to stand up so the organisers can see who is yet to finish. Tony is flying around tables who have yet to complete, banging his zimmer frame into furniture without caring, running back to me red-faced and  breathless to report . It went something like this " Lady raised ( big gulp of air )and got re-raised and dwelt up for ages( more gulps of air) eventually folded. I think  she folded Queens". For three hands no-one busted, I thought Teeks would need medical attention if it went on much longer. Then   " he's busted. White t-shirt guy over there ( much vague pointing across the room) , LOOK!!! WHITE T-SHIRT GUY !!!!!!!!!! ( Tikay's arms working like  windmills)  WHITE T-SHIRT GUY !!!!!!!!!!  HE'S OUT "

fortunately for Tikay's health it was true , TD's announcement met with applause , zimmer frame used as tripod for more photos.

I only hope that if you are ever in the same situation , Tikay is there to rail you.
Thanks Mate I really appreciate what you did . You are a true gentleman and perhaps one day I will be able to repay the favour.

In the meantime GO RIP SOME NEW ARSEHOLES !!

Steady start, 17,000 from 15,000 starting after 4 levels.

About 110 runners I think, though Late Reg is open for 2 more levels.

Chip Jett was on my table. He is old.

EDIT - ooh, make that 22,000.

Posh Tal and Simon Trumper are over at Binions, playing the $1k NLH thing.

Sadly, neither of us made day two (didn't go out in that order, I hasten to brag)

Can't help but think my temporary position as the "posh" one needs to be relinquished, now that the true posh one has returned. I feel like King John after Richard came back Smiley

Not sure if this will end up on Iplayer Tony but there has been a Doc on the BBC about the the missing  Malaysian aircraft. It's called summat like Horizon, The search for flight MH370.

Was all very technical but still interesting, if you have a bit of spare time to watch I think you might like it.

Hope you are having fun mate.

Another bad day at the poker office yesterday.

Am having a day off playing today, so will do the 2 Tourney Reports later (WSOP PLO & yesterday's Big O), try & catch up with PM's (over 30 I need to reply to) & Diary questions.

For now, send more money.

Prob only a quarter of the people here today as for the last England game. Surprised, but maybe noon is too early for some.

You have to name him after you Vin.

You just expect someone with a name like Vincent Caleneti to grow up looking something like this, and he might be the one.

The girls have a few suggestions for you, we're liking; Isaac, Tobias, Asa, Levi and Jacob.
Whenever you do decide on a name please let us know straight away, and post another pic!
