Off and running, starting at 25-50, not 25-25.

We were given all 9,000 Chips, so no decision as to whether to take them in separate tranches.

Managed to lose 1,100 chips very first hand, called a raise with A-3 and nut diamonds, came two diamonds, two low, so I bet out.

Check called the bad turn, he potted the river so I had to let go. Would have been calling to chop, I had top two, but he showed nut low so the pass was probably correct.

Thanks Gents

Level 1 complete without further mishap.

Got it back to 8,700 which made me feel more comfy, but then gave 700 back in one of those spots where I had to see the river as I was drawing to nut nut, but I ended up with nought nought.

Level 2 now began, 50-100, I have 8,100.

Level 2 complete, first break, we go 75-150 now.

Plenty of good starting hands, but could not connect with the board to save my life. Still, at least the run-rotten came whilst the blinds were small, hopefully once the blinds get bigger I will start to connect with a few flops or boards.

7,300 from 9,000, but plenty of time yet.

Level 3 complete, now we go 100-200.

First 40 minutes of Level 3 I never played a hand, and then, starting to get a wee but frustrated, I was dealt.....

...after not even seeing an ace for over an hour, lol.

I bet this (happy to discuss, but really betting because nobody else can have much) and got called by case ace man on the low draw.

It came all high, he checked, I bet and tidmof.

Very next hand......

....I am dealt.....

Exactly same scenario, and I take a second successive pot.

Three hands later......

....I have, in the BB,......

  three diamonds

It comes......

Geezer bets, I flat, another guy flats.

Am thinking of the 2 of diamonds, but instead it comes the 2 of clubs to give me nut low, nut flush draw.

Geezer bets again, ok, time to take off, and I move all in.

He calls me with the bad end of the straight, no diamonds, and no low redraw.

I need a diamond to scoop.

Dealer peels off.....

So we start level 4 (100-200) with a most pleasing 16,700.

2nd break, end of Level 4, so halfway through Day One.

Running pretty well now.

Had nut nut on the turn and raised Matey Boy off as I did not want him getting a quarter.

Then I rivered the nut flush, but it paired, and Mr FOS bet just over half the pot. When low stacked, I struggle to make these calls, but with double average, they are so much easier, and I made the call with clenched cheeks.

He uttered those lovely words "you got it" as his cards skimmed into the muck.

20,800 @ 150-300.

Bumped into Lord Kimber @ the break, he has about 18,000, but is boycotting this fine Diary. Flushy is on his table apparently, with about the same.
