Message to those who have expressed an interest in my Vegas Staking.
I've now finalised my Vegas Wish List of Tourneys, as below.
I can't play them all, as some have dates that clash. It's also very unlikely that I will play both of the $3,000 WSOP events listed - I'll likely skip the 6-Max PLO, even though I love the format, but I will certainly play the $3,000 PLO8. If I run good early in the trip, & hit a few cashes, I may add the $3,000 6-Max PLO, but for now, it's very doubtful.
The WHOLE list, including both $3,000 Events, & including date clashes, comes to around $17,000. Leaving out the $3,000 WSOP 6-Max PLO, that brings it down to $14,000 ish. (Approx £9,300).
As I can't say for sure exactly what I will play, the best thing, for those who still want "in", is that your investment counts as a % of the total, no matter what the total is.
Happy to take feedback on that, & of course if you are unhappy with the arrangements, feel free to withdraw, as the Stakers List was "Interest Only".
Venetian, Saturday 30th May, $600 PLO
GN, Wednesday 3rd June, 11am, $240 PLO
Binions, Sunday 7th June, $220 PLO
GN, Monday 8th June, 11am, $240 PLO8

Orleans, Tuesday 16th June $240 PLO8
Venetian, Friday/Saturday June 19th/20th, $1,100 PLO8

If my mafs is correct, I should budget for in and around £100 for 1%? I'm in anyway, got losses to chase.

This is the latest list of would-be stakers. which is from Page 2755, suitably updated. That comes to about 48%, allowing 1% for Matt the Hoople, who said he would take 5% if it remained available. (So another 4% may go there).
Nobody is committed to these investments, but they are booked if you do.
Quite happy to run with the current team, even if some withdraw, but if anyone else wants an interest, please let me know soonest.

I will write to MereNovice today, & ask him if he minds setting up, running & managing the Spreadsheet for me, as he has done in previous years.
I will also ask him, again as previously, if he will be the Stake Arbiter. If he agrees, he will make any rulings necessary as to queries that arise, currency rates, who has paid & been paid, what is or is not included, etc. His decision will be binding on both parties.
I'll give it until May 1st, then I'll close it to further interest, & send everyone arrangements for payment. I'd rather like that we have got everything sorted a week before I go if possible.
All stakes will be sold at par, there is no make up of course.
I have booked to travel out on May 29th, with the first scheduled event the next day, at Venetian. I'm 99% certain to go, though, as always, a cancellation remains possible.
For the first 10 days, the schedule is light, & I'll be doing some personal, non-poker stuff, touring around, visiting LA, San Diego, Oceanside. I have to state work for Next Door around 25th June, so no more playing after that.
There will be updates on here after every event played, of course, in addition to Blogs for Next Door.
Excited!

Good news incoming - MereNovice has agreed to run the Spready, & sort everything out properly.
He'll post in due course. Please be aware that he is severely grumpy & curmudgeonly these days.

As tikay said above, I'll be administering the staking adventures as per last year.
I'll be using the same system as last year. If you wish to reminisce it is here:
http://blondepoker.com/forum/index.php?topic=25486.msg1941032#msg1941032
In essence, since the precise value of the package won't be known until the end of the trip (due to tikay being such a creature of whim) it is not possible to pay for a precise percentage in advance so I have decided on a notional value that we can use.
I'm going to use an exchange rate of 1.51 dollars to the pound; it was 1.68 last year - ooooooh.
For those of you that have nominally staked 1%, I'm going to say that equates to
£85
.
However, you can contribute any (broadly similar) sterling amount that you like and I will convert it into the appropriate percentage of the final package.
I will ensure that tikay takes no liberties and that the final package is (at least) roughly as described above.
As tikay is only going to be selling around 50% of his "action" it leaves room to manoeuvre so this won't cause a problem, i.e. it won't be possible for tikay to sell 110% of his action and then (deliberately) lose every tournament he enters.
I hope that is all clear.
If not, please post on here or PM me for clarification.
The spreadsheet is here:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1lo83qbNr29QM07dTb4QjWRwomRnHDIzf2qUW5aGS6DI/edit?usp=sharing
That's all for now folks.
