Loving the snaps and write ups Tikay.
Have you been to Australia? Some rather epic train journeys there! I took the Indian-Pacific from Sydney to Perth a few years ago when I was backpacking down under. It was certainly a experience, probably not one I'd repeat (like bungee jumping!), but glad I did it instead of flying. 72 hours of rolling Outback, kangeroos, and stories from this lovely old Aussie gent who was sat next to me.
About half way through the journey, the train stops at what is a now ghost town called Cook. It used to be a thriving little community, with all the things you'd expect to see like a school, church, few shops etc, but gradually people migrated to more urban environments. If memory serves me right (it was 2010 when I was there), there was literally just a handful of people still living there, maybe 5 or 6, and they relied on the Indian-Pacific to drop essentials off twice weekly on its way through Cook. Very eye opening experience indeed, to see people choosing (I guess) to live in the middle of nowhere in what is a very developed country.
The Indian-Pacific also has the longest stretch of straight track anywhere in the world, think it was out towards Perth way in WA.
I'm not a train buff (aviation more my thing as you know), but I do enjoy some of the trains on the continent, particularly the double decker trains in Germany. I'm always pleased when City draw a German team in the Champions League
All the best for day 2.
Thanks Big Man.
We are double decker train fans too, (& aircraft & airline buffs) & have experienced them in Holland, Switzerland & the USA. The Swiss Railway System is wonderful.
Due to the restrictions of tunnel heights, they are impractical on Network Rail.

So, given there has been some debate, & a min cash today must be a couple of grand, & we are in a deep, deep hole, should I.....
a) Try to fold to the money?
b) Just go for it, & batter them boys?
Let the cards decide.
Obviously if you keep getting dealt crap go to plan B..............moan it in.

Had some Loakes shoes for absolutely years. Still kept their shine ridiculously well and still looked fairly new. Started leaking this winter, got them fixed at one if those shoe repair joints, lasted a month before they started leaking again. Might just have to get some new ones. Sure it is cheaper than Clarks in the long run.
Good luck tomorrow Teaks...
Brad or Mantis
for you?
Brad, all day, every day, & twice on Sunday.
Mantis has never stopped whining since he lost the coup. Sings when he's winning, grizzles when he loses. Can't stand them sorts.
Mantis is the MardyBum of Golf Equipment Shops.
MardyMantis, it has a certain ring to it, don't you think?
This is Brad BTW. Does anyone have a pic of Mantis?
Yes, here's MardyMantis after it snowed, & Brad got the lot.

Yes, am in the Media centre now, & it's on the plasma.
The Venetian, which starts at 4pm Vegas (midnight UK) has plasmas all around the room showing it. How good does life get?
How is your lad these days, Alan? Decided what he wants to do for a living yet?
I see you got a few bob at Royal Ascot, thanks to Fred - what a great, (& free) facility that is, "community" at its very best. I'm so proud of it, & how everyone chips in with their knowledge & expertise. Not just tips, but solid advice. "Teach a man to fish" & all that.

It makes balancing the books easier if you never cash.
Seriously, I don't think there's any need for that, you've really annoyed me now.
I would love it if I cashed.

All this talk of Brad is making me feel nauseous.
Do we want to curl up into a ball and die a slow horrible death or do we want to dance with the devil, throw the dice and let them fall where they may, live life to the full and take a high octane shot of adrenaline?? I wonder what we shud do now we're in Las Vegas? Brad would fold to the money and "hotttttt dawggggg" when he got there. Just sayin.
Oh and I don't work in a golf equipment shop, a fckin shop??

I'm not a stakeholder so I can say what I like.
My genuine opinion is just play it one hand at a time and make the best decision you can with the information you have.
Good lock

That's the key thing.
sure this is right.
I have Ralph at my table in the NLO8 hyper. All in every hand I tell ya
