More importantly - where do you put your phone if not in your pocket ? Do you always carry a handbag now ?

I challenge anyone to find a more naturally flowing set of lyrics than this - Johnny Cash, Sunday Morning Coming down.
This song's been a good friend to me for years. Written by Kris Kristofferson who knows a thing or two about how how to pen a song.

I listen to this version a couple of times a year.
Just a candid video of a guy busking in a train station, but I really like it.
Sadly the guy in the video killed himself a couple of years ago.
If you read the video comments, his brother posts something every now and then and it's really quite sad.

Just caught up with recent events and really heartening to see that on the cusp of the Vegas stake our hero's mental faculties are as razor sharp as ever. God help us all.

Don't know, don't know, & don't know.
As far as I am aware, the existing SIM card is fine, & I told them that.
My only immovable criteria is I want to keep the same number, & have access to my "old" Contacts.
PS - what does "porting my number" mean?
If you want to go with a new service provider, say ee instead of Vodafone and you wanted to keep your number, Vodafone would have to issue you with a PAC which gives ee permission to transfer the number to their network.
Since you are not changing networks you do not need a PAC. Fact.
How come you have never needed one before?
Something's not right Tone, stand on me.
Tikay,
Tom is correct. You do not need a PAC. A PAC is for changing network. Even if your SIM isn't working you do not need a PAC.
You also don't need to go to a shop. Ring Vodafone from a landline. They will send a phone to arrive the next day. There may or may not be a charge depending on when you last upgraded your phone.

Can't wait for tomorrow's instalment on the phone farce.
Gonna be incred if it turns out he's not even with vodafone.
It won't help you feel any better, but I love updates like these.

I'm fairly distraught that there isn't any further news on the Vodafone front, I'd made a coffee and sat down for a good long read. I'm immersing myself in the Ipad saga instead. Many thanks to DoubleUp for the link. I'm still on page one but it's already shaping up to be a belter.

Lol @ you boys.
There have been some interesting developments this morning, but I'm busy with work, & writing a blog about how to win a £3,500 package to Las Vegas - or part of a £5,000 cash prize pool on top of that - in 15 minutes for a fiver. (Note how I slipped some spam in there). It reflects a really interesting insight into "price points" in poker & the wonders of X-sell, but that's another story that will have to wait, too, you'll all be relieved to hear.
So the next thrilling 'phone instalment will have to wait a bit.
How on earth did that Ippy thread get to 15 pages? To be honest, between you & I, I'm not so hot with techy stuff.
And by chance, this morning I also found myself in an Apple Store. Now that was a wholly uplifting affair.
Meanwhile, I felt somewhat chastened this morning to have fretted so about my little 'phone problem when I saw this story on the front pages of every (decent) newspaper.
