Folded round to my small blind. I decide to do a proper squeeze.
Good start
Better.
This is lovely. Now, how about a nice low card to go with it?
OK. Well, in it goes. 6k.
Big blind calls.
My remaining 4.5k goes in on
.
He calls.
Shows
on the turn is something of a mood killer.
River no help.
Good news everyone: tikay is one place closer to the money!

Just found a really great spot in my Big Blind.
I have the delicious.....
Geezer opens to 6,000 @ 1,000-2,000.
Next bloke calls.
Small blind calls.
20,000 in the middle, and I have A-K-2-9, with a suit. How easy is this?
In they go.
First player folds.
2nd player folds.
Third player calls - which I don't mind really, as I can't be in bad shape here.
He has.......
Perfect, just have to swerve a few cards now.
He rivered the flush with his
and the low never came.
Can't really wish for a better spot than that, so I'm ok with it.

That's me outa here, might play some Big O cash later, & tomorrow is a day off iirc. Biggie on Monday, the Venetian PLO8 biggie.
Night all, thanks for the rail.

Quite a final brewing in the 10k six max, tikay, if you are heading over.
Bonomo, Selbst and Ferguson all chipped up with 11 left.
That could be entertaining.

That was what I had in mind.
Those three at the end would keep the likes of Barry Carter in business for sure.

Yup, dream spot, can barely get much better. 52,000 pot, too, to put me right in the mix.
Never mind, that's the penalty for motoring with a low stack, gotta win those coups.

Might drop by later.

So, this weird thing that happened...
Starting table is pretty fun. We have some characters and the usual mixture of 'phone-tappers and mojito sippers. All good. Chap to my left, it turns out, spent a few years as a professional golfer (on the national circuit, friends with Jordan Speith, no less). We have a chat about that. Chap to my right is a Californian and seems to have a dry, almost British wit. He is engaged in our conversation with the golf fellow. We're having fun.
There is a brief pause in between stories about high stakes golf games chaap to the left has seen. The chap to my right now opens - and this is without any segue -
"So I'm watching this porn reality show at the moment..."

Fellow to my left helps me out.
"Sorry?"
"It's really awesome. There's eight guys and eight girls. They have to do all kinds of stuff to each other and they do the whole thing as a reality show, so the winners get to be professional pornstars. It's AMAZING. Got a host and everything."
Clearly not a reader of people's body language and facial expressions, he now gets his phone out.
I am approximately this comfortable right now
Mercifully, he is under the gun and has to check his cards first. I take the opportunity to ask golf guy a deliberately boring question about bankroll management when on the golf tour, such that I know it'll draw him into a conversation for a few minutes. Guy to my right withdraws momentarily and tinkers about with his phone, putting his headphones in.
Oh good, I reason. He's moved on and is going to listen to some music.
Nope.
He's watching the show.
He spent what I can only suggest was a couple of hours watching, presumably, various episodes of this, in between playing hands. I am not going to describe anything else. I can't unsee what I saw but I reckon I can cover enough with Ron Swanson gifs and allowing those so minded to apply their imagination.

Ok, that last one isn't a reference; I just love that quote.
I honestly can't believe he was just sitting there watching it, bold as brass. I find
Game of Thrones
gratuitous, so this is whatever is ten above "a bit much". He was still in when I left.
I'm certain that's a first for me, and I've seen a fair few things at the tables. Karabiner? Red-DOG? Anyone else match or beat that?
By the way, if you've never seen
Parks and Recreation
, I can assure you it's good. Very few episodes you wouldn't be comfortable watching with your mother.

Interesting variation on the big brother theme.
