not the most exciting question, but intersted to know how expensive you find it over there with sterling where it is.
every day stuff..lattes, train rides, meals for two etc etc
Surely it can't be more expensive than the airport cafe or the pie shop?
I'm in agreement, but can't help laugh at how much that overpriced pie has offended you Red
I plan to buy me one of those pies and post a photo of it, just to irritate Tom.

Oh, I just remembered. At the fish market cafe or restaurant place a banana split was 110 kroners, which I equate to £11.

Lovely to see, this is our hotel - 5 storeys of traditional brick and stone construction. Don't see too many brick built Holiday Inn Express.

The traditional photos of Bryggen, Bergen waterfront always shows these jaunty, colourful timber buildings.
Things are not quite as they may seem at first sight though.

Norway is renowned as the one of the most expensive places to live - not least because of their 25% Sales Tax (VAT). I believe their healthcare & welfare benefits are excellent due to heavy taxation and huge oil wealth.
