Made it to day 2 with 72k chips. There must be around 400 made it through.
According to pokernews James Dempsey was there late on, but I never saw him.
Also Patrick "This weeks schedule is crazy bad" Leonard has a big stack. I didn't see him either, though he isn't the biggest.
Tom Dwan is at the WSOP; I saw him twice in the corridors, none of this I am too famous to mix with the proles.

Wowzer, look at this one.......
Raised to 1,500 pre and we call, it's 4 way with.....
When the flop came down I just sat and admired it for several moments......
What a flop that is.
Nice young Swedish kid makes it 6,000.
I don't need to hesitate too much here, it's a massive spot and it's pointless just calling.
Re-raise all-in.
He calls with A-K with (dead) diamonds but he's in awful shape against my hand.
The dealer then peels off running black sixes for the chop.
What an anti climax.
That was deffo the breakthrough hand I've been looking for all afternoon.
Anyway, on we go.
Quick tell the dealer your two pair wins
You have a 5

Great news David, very well done, & I hope you make it to Day 3 & cash well big.
Well done also to Marky, who I gather is trundling along in the $600.
Almost everyone seems to be doing well.

Loving the feedback, all of it, especially the rubs. If we can't win money, we can at least have some bants along the road. We've not had the rub of the green, but I've enjoyed every moment.
Not got time to reply to many of the posts right now, it's non-stop here, but once things calm down I'll try to.
Slight change of plan today, after doobs alerted me to the fact that there is a Mixed Omaha event at Golden nugget today, $570. I was due to play the $800 @ Venetian, but upon inspection, the GN thing looks a better structure & Mix, so that's the plan.
Here's the 2 structures for those with time on their hands;
Venetian, which seems to be PLO, PLO8 & Big O;
https://www.venetian.com/content/dam/venetian/casino/poker/deepstack/2019/structures/DPCPS_2019-800_PLO_PLO8_BIG_O.pdf
GN, which appears to be a different mix if I read it correctly, PLO8, Limit 08 & Big O. You'll need to scroll down to Page 52 to see it;

I used to be uncomfortable with Limit stuff, but I'm fine with it now.
Starts at 11am local (7pm UK), so will head off Downtown just before 10am, so will be there by 10.15 to get myself settled & sorted.

Had a late night last night. After I'd had a little sulk at my exit, & had a bit of dinner, I wanted to make sure Gill got home OK. She landed at Midnight (8am UK) but then had to drive from Manchester down to Stoke, so I stayed up until she messaged me to say she was home safe & sound.
I was still buzzing from the WSOP affair, so struggled to sleep for a while, must have been 0330 before I eventually nodded off. Usually, it takes me about 2 seconds. Then, at 0530, I had a 'phone call from England which I had been waiting for & had to deal with, so time I'd done that it was 0630 & no point going back to bed, so did an hour or so "work" Next Door, just bits & bobs.
I'm a little tired right now, but adrenaline (is that spelt correctly?) is a wonderful thing, so everything will be just fine.
All good.
Be kinda nice to get a result today, too, then tomorrow is Last Chance Saloon with the WSOP Mix thing.

Vegas, missus, important enough job to get a 'phone call at 5.30am.
I'd say you're running pretty well, tikay.
Apologies about stealing your poker "run good" this summer. If you ran better, the luck I nicked off you might have got me a higher finish than Audley.
Do wins, Doobs.
I miss Pleno.

oioi, the nut seat at last, might be an omen.
From there I can see both ends of the entire board and all tabled hands. Incred.

Seat 4 is a corker. Assimilate opposing stacks into yours, tykai.

On the contrary, it was certainly very good advice, and I always respect the views of my elders, but by then I was sort of pot stuck, and was all organised to go to GN.
You seen miserable bollox lately? (Moulty, obv).

No shortage of noise here today, they have another of those slot machine comps in progress. Amazing scenes. And sounds.
