Had KhJsTh9s in SB. He had KJ86 rainbow in BB. He was the cause of most of the chaos at the table and had North of 100k. I had 18.
Flop comes the beautiful KxQh3h. I just potted it. He reported, I couldn't jam quick enough.
He actually said "we have similar hands". Yeah mate.
Turn was an 8. River low.
Don't know what tomorrow is. Maybe a daily deepstack?
Big O at the Wynn on Friday then home.
There's a $600 PLO Mystery Bounty at MGM or a $240 O8 @ Orleans.
MGM no good for doobs as 3 dayer I think
PLO turbo at wynn option though 1100 I think

That O8 looks like the limit game. Discounted that PLO turbo early on as it started so late. But am already pretty settled on USA time so it might be ok. Can maybe just get up and do gym, and then do a bit of shopping for the fam, so 6pm start isn't so bad.
If there is a PLO daily deepstack will probably just do that.
Did you all realise Benny Glaser is leading the Mixed O8 final table? Pads just out.
Good luck in the PLO8 Rob

Thx mate
Nah haven’t been watching updates, the guys a beast .
I’ve had “silent purple” at my table all day today, you must have played him plenty before .
Spun up to 54k in those 3 levels but knocked back down twice to 24.5k now , late reg closed after this break
Somehow avoided alcohol today …… so far
My table so much tougher than earlier now, only 1 or 2 “spots”

AA37 1 suit < AQJ2 double suited for a 65k pot ( which I guess was about average stack if scooped )
3,7,10,K,9 sealed my fate
Day off from mtts for me tomorrow

Good morning all.
A day or two ago Karabiner mentioned my stamina but it all caught up with me after I ingloriously exited yesterday's WSOP PLO8 rather earlier than desirable & I went back to my room & slept for 13 hours straight, interrupted only be a few pee breaks. (That's an age thing).
Am busy with this & that today, but just wanted to say how lovely it is to see so many long-term blondes suddenly emerge around WSOP time - Dingdell, Splash, Tats, & others who are more regular lurkers upping their presence too - Shaz, Kev B, Knottikay. Plus we've hopefully gained an active new member too in Legal Beagle EssexPhil who has some very tidy Hendons.
For every ying there's a yang of course, in this case Celtic aka Fat Vinni, but we can't win them all.

You must be getting tired of me banging on about my retirement but it's a very big deal for me. And I need to adjust my entire lifestyle.
The first thing is that I've spent all my life cramming way too much into every 24 hours, so I was always rushing & could never get enough sleep.
The last few years, since I took up Golf & Poker again really meant everything was a rush.
Typically, if golfing at, say, 11am, up at 5am, get my work done by 10am. My work was easy & menial but I tried to do it as well as I could & "went beyond" where possible. Could just about finish work by 10am then drive to the Golf Course & get organised. 11am Tee-Time means we are done by 3pm, then a pot of tea in the pub to settle up the winnings & losings. Home by 4.15pm, check in on Next Door's Forum (RIP) & deal with any bits & bobs, entries, complaints etc, then a 1 hour afternoon nap time, up at 6pm to head off to DTD Poker for the evening. A Final Table generally meant a 2am or 3 am finish, or an early exit meant I played the 6 card PLO Cash until midnight. Then I head home & have my dinner, usually 1 or 2am.
5am next morning, rinse repeat.
It's been like that, albeit with a different mix of ingredients, all my working life, 61 years.
And now, all of a sudden, I have all the time in the world.
I'm not finding it an easy adjustment & I still seem to be cramming too much into every day.
Bet you found all that fascinating...

..and on an equally fascinating note Rob (animalpoker) took a photo of me on the actual bubble of the WSOP Omaha Mix.
I wanted to get into the money spots SO bad, more than I could ever explain. It was not the money, not at all, it was proving to myself, & perhaps others, that I can still hack it at 77. I have no idea why that mattered so much to me but it did.
The weird thing, that given how desperate I was to "make the money" & get another WSOP flag on my Hendon, you'd think I'd look stressed to bits. Not so though. I actually look totally relaxed & calm. Appearances are deceptive.
I've saved this under "Man at Work".

And now I notice MPower lurking, aka "regards", aka Jonathan Grice.
Two MPower facts.
He sold me a "showroom mileage" BMW in around 2012. ("12" reg?). 13 years & 130,000 miles later it's still going along nicely. It's never once let me down. I get it Serviced & MOT'd once a year, that's it. I had it valeted recently, first time it's been washed in at least 10 years. I sort of want to get me a nice shiny new car, but in a way, "Old Faithful" is still going along nicely.
And there's another Jonathan Grice story....

His Daughter is Gemma Grice, & amongst other things, she is the official photographer at DTD.
John should be proud. Not only is she a great photographer, but she's wonderfully mannered with unusually good social skills for a modern youngster. And she's the absolute spit of her Dad, even the way she walks, with feet slightly splayed.
If you need a photographer for anything, give Gemma a try.
Here's some samples of her work. All of these are by Gemma.

Played the seniors deepstack today. Standard was mixed. Had to nurse a short stack from about level 2. Got punished with the double big blind before and after moving tables which meant I was limited to shove or fold. He had aces obv.
Would recommend. 9am start, but despite this, still got 330 runners (many were shufflers). Standard of dealing worse than WSOP. Had one that had previously played one of the sloths in zootopia. Had to sit next to coughing man near the end, but most players were fairly pleasant. Not had any discussions about Trump or guns all trip so far, which is a bonus.

Morning Tony, I see theres a $10k bigO in a few day's time, are you going to try one of the satellites?
I think you should play one of the biggies on this trip, hopefully using winnings.

Morning.
Been a testing 24 hours one way or another, both on & off the poker tables.
AlrightJack alluded to me staying at The Orleans, which is a fair point, it's certainly not the choice of many poker players but it works for me.
I did have a few problems at Orleans yesterday & today, but given I'm out here without a care in the world & most of you are back home working, it seems churlish to have a little rant. I would just mention I was somewhat taken aback when the Check-In Girl informed me matter-of-factly that the Rooms only get cleaned & beds made every 4 days, but if I have an accumulation of trash, I'm free to place it in the Bins by the Elevators. And if the DO NOT DISTUB sign is up when the Cleaner comes on Day 4, you skip straight to Day 8. Resort Fees, car park charges, rooms only cleaned every 4 days, plus here at Orleans although Wifi is technically free, if you want useable Wi-Fi that's another ten bucks a day. The Vegas money grab continues apace
I have a car - I could never do Vegas without a car - so I don't need to rely on cabs, & I can go for a ride up the Spring Mountains whenever it takes my fancy. And I love driving in Vegas, huge 16 lane carriageways & wonderful sweeping 3 or even 4 level graded interchanges which are almost a work of art. Some of them make Spaghetti Junction look like a B road.

Morning Ralph.
I had not thought of that tbh. If I won a seat I feel I'd be hopelessly out of my depth, but you never know, when the cards are kind anything can happen.
Thanks for the suggestion, it would never have occurred to me & I will definitely take a look at the options.
Very interesting timing actually, (your post).
There's a Wynn $1,100 Big O today which is on my schedule, then tomorrow there's the WSOP $1,500 Big O for which I've budgeted for 2 bullets if need be.
So a
potential
spend of $4,100 in 24 hours freaked me out a bit & I've been wrestling with my conscience - & common sense, such as it is - as to whether to play that Wynn $1,100.
Think I've just about decided I will play today's Wynn thing. YOLO & all that, & I may never make Vegas again.
