Nice one mate, congratulations on another cash.  Do you offer coaching these days, I think I’m in trouble based on my mtt, cash game and alcohol since 😁

Thanks guys.

I'll bore you with the details, such as they are, in the morning as it's almost 3am here & I'm whacked.

Day 2 starts at 1pm & I'll need a quick 2XUp as I've only got 58,000.

ngl, am thrilled to bits.

Benny Glaser? All you can eat, son.

Night all.

Even more remarkably, Englebert Humperdinck appears here regularly.

He was a 2 hit wonder in the 60's - "(Please) Release Me" & "Last Waltz" & all these years later he's still Touring on the strength of those 2 hits. He was sort of a poor man's Tom Jones.

His current Tour is called "The Last Waltz World Tour", which in various guises has almost certainly been the title of his last 36 world tours.

Age? 88.

Amazing that he still fells the need to work/entertain he must be well loaded. God bless him. Not sure I'd pay a penny piece to go watch him, mind.

OI. Back off.

Engelbert was my late Mothers favourite singer so i have grown up listening to his music.

Certainly not a poor mans Tom Jones.

Morning.

Am feeling totally flat today, mentally & physically, & very tired indeed. Barely slept due to bad leg cramps.

Despite all that, as scores of you - perhaps more, maybe hundreds or even thousands - have asked of a bit of a TR from yesterday, here goes. It's just a disguised chirp really, but you knew that.

Will follow shortly.

Began with 25,000 & I'd pledged to be more aggro.

That sure worked, after 6 of the 15 levels had been played, I was still on Starting. Incidentally, at that point 500 of the (then) 1,222 entries had already bust.

The fun started in the 3 level session (Levels 7, 8 & 9) between the 2nd & 3rd break. It went, if you'll pardon the technical language...

Double

Little dribble

Double

Little dribble.

Double. (Now peaked at 140,000).

At this point, knowing I can sleep into the money, I usually lock up, but I was determined to keep trying to play.

That sure worked.

Big dribble.

100,000 now & the key hand of the day.

Non-Speaking man (never uttered a word in 3 hours) bets pot. I have really good red double-suited aces with wheel cards, A-A-2-3-4 HH DD & 3 bet.

No Speak FLATS. Hmm.

Flop is J-Q-K, all black, & he sets me in.....

Might be bluffing, might have the other aces, I really have no idea. I just can't proceed though & have to yield.

All of a sudden, from coasting along with not a care in the world & GUARANTEED to make the money, I'm in IC ion a ventilator.

It's a real cling-on job now - I want to cash SO bad.

The pace of exits was incredible, but it was going to be touch & go.

I just had to keep folding.

Dribble dribble

Slipped down to 51,000 & had to pay the blinds of 12,500 (5 + 5 + 2.5).

Eventually, with 227 left & 225 paid I'm sitting there with fingernails bleeding, & I've got 36,000 with blinds 4 hands away.

Then play is suspended for 25 minutes, lots of little men in grey suits with clipboards & i-Pads scurrying around, generally trying to look important whilst at the same time panicking & telling everyone to keep calm. I buggered off to have a wee, when I got back they were still scurrying around telling everyone to sit down,  which everyone ignored.

Suddenly, they announce a double exit, & everyone is in the money.

It's now 10 minutes from the end of the day's play, so they announce "Last 3 hands".

I mean, never give up & all that, but realistically there's little point in coming back with 36,000 at 3k-6k-6k. The Blinds will cost me half that first time round.

So I have 3 hands to get it in.

1st hand contains three Sevens. Bin.

2nd hand is as bad as it gets in hi-lo, 6-6-8-9-9. Bin.

3rd hand has to go in. It's 3-4-J-Q-& I forget the other card. It's not terrible actually, what we ideally want is something from both ends (High & Low) so it fits the bill nicely..

I'm UTG & decide to limp, hoping some kindly soul might RTI. The bastards are not interested, I end up with 2 callers plus the 2 blinds, so 5 way.

Flop is as good as I dare hope for - A-10-9 giving me a straight draw & decent back door low draw.

Blinds both check, I gather up my pile of 3 chips (yes, really, a 25k, a 5k & a 1k) & nonchalantly toss them in the middle like the young cool kidz do.

And now, ranking high in the Would You Believe It? department, they all fold.

So a return trip today for a 1pm Start, I'm Table 662, seat 8.

And it'll start with the embarrassing moment of "opening the bags".

Honestly, the bags they are using are the biggest poker tourney bags I've ever seen, same size as a Tesco Carrier Bag. And mine has 9 chips skulking in the bottom corner.

IDGAF, I've cashed & I'm happy, & may well do some more dribbling today.

As the poker saying goes, one Double Up....
