So, Keegan is indeed the Messiah.
A draw against the mighty Bolton, & defeat away to the even mightier Arsenal, & he's still got his job. Have the NUFC Directors at last decided to give their Managers a bit more time before getting rid?
Or maybe - perish the thought - they have learned one lesson from the last half-dozen botched Managerial appointments & dismissals. Appoint the next Manager BEFORE you get rid of the incumbent. That'd be the Wise thing to do, & what any Business, run by a half-competent Board, would do.

I made a shocking play with AK. I made it 1,400 to go, leaving 2,800 behind, & Mr Rockety-Rock behind me, without hesitation, shoved for the lot. I could & should have got off my hand

Is the implication that Bolton are good or Arsenal are bad?

Even if is range is AA/KK/QQ and never anything else this is a correct call.

Why so? And I'm not being arsey, I'm just curious as to why you hold that opinion.
My reasonology......
With hindsight, I can see he'd only do that with three hands, & I prefer to find a better situation in all three cases, though if I KNEW he had Queens, that, I agree, is different.
With Blinds at 200-400, & 2,800 behind, I'm quietly confident that I can still come back, I just need a little luck & lots of patience. The cards always arrive, eventually. But sometimes we have gone by then.
So, expand please. .

Based on pot odds, flushy is slightly incorrect but i think we can add ak and jj into the mix even if he is rock. I believe the 200/400 comes with a 50 ante. I will assume neither of you are in the blinds and the table is 8 handed.
Pot stands at 1000 preflop + 1400 + 4200 and its 2.8k to call so spot on 2 to 1, 33.3% equity.

Hand 1: 69.142% 68.77% 00.38% 169557492 927000.00 { QQ+ }
I shove preflop by the way it is completely inexploitable with only 10bb back,in fact i shove aq+ 99+ here without thinking. Though i may get tricky with aa and kk.

How does 1000+1400+4200=5600?

Thanks Longy. I suppose he could have done the same with AK, I concede that. Not sure about Jacks. Which makes the Pass bad. Just.
Why not shove for the lot? Normally, yes, it's an auto-shove, but there was a caked-up Geezer in the Blinds who "defended" them with his life, he was a sort of Mini-Albert, & he'd re-raise for sure with any Ace, & I was half hoping he'd entertain me. This goes against my normal logic of just shoving here, because if I don't grt action, I can't lose. This time I was looking for it - but I found it in the wrong place, with the wrong hand.

No Longy's calcs are slightly out, its a correct call vs AA-QQ. No-one in the world has a tighter range than that in this spot.

Yeah i saw this and giggled Grandad. If you knew his hand there should be scorch marks on the table as you call this. Its a thin +EV edge, but its an edge.
