"That's
Jeff
Kimber
there, he's Jaffa-Cake" I helpfully pointed out.
"I thought Jaffa Cake's name was John?"
"No, it's Jeff,
Jeff
Kimber
".
"So who is the blonde Taxi-Driver?"
"
John
McGrane
"
"And what's his blonde name?"
"Cupcake"
"Ahh, that's why I got confused".
I know, it's not funny, but it amused me no end for some reason.
Not talking about Dingdell by any chance ?
Whatever makes you suggest that?
Welcome to my world - it's very cosy in here.
I won't mention the JonMW/MPower confusion then.......
And the less said about Brad Pitt the better.

I am now aware that they are very different people.....
We were also talking about Indestructable and Casino Casino which I misunderstood (by the way that Claw was describing it
) and thought that Ed was in the Bond film Casino Royale. I couldn't fathom out which part he had played. Lets face it though - it was entirely possible he had been in it - he's been in almost everything else.
I have to say I can be easily led - gullibility has always been one of my failings/best attributes depending on your stance!

Bishopthorpe Palace home of the Archbishop of York
Yes indeed, & this is John Sentamu, who holds that Office right now. I'm not sure why, but I was much surprised to realise that The Archbishop of York is currently a black man. (Well, I imagine he's always been a black man, but you get my drift). He's Ugandan, &
seems a quite splendid man, too
.

So - Tikay brings over yet another 'celeb' guest to dutifully shake hands with the blondites - Marcel Luske - who frankly looks a bit bewildered by the whole thing. Tikay starts him off by asking him to explain the new legislation he is trying to get accepted worldwide.
Marcel starts to talk earnestly about different rules such as Rabbit hunting.
Tikay as innocently as an innocent person interrupts him and says "these girls know about rabbits", Marcel continues talking if not a little puzzled so Tikay interrupts again "But not the rabbits you're talking about". Marcel ploughs on while Claw and I hold our heads in our hands pi**ing ourselves laughing while Marcel, completely ignorant of what's going on continues to
drone
interesting inform us of the new rule changes.
Tikay wanders off to find the next victim....

I know not of what you speak.......
And Marcel drone on & on? As if.......Unfortunately, I had to briefly extract myself from the Convo - matters pressing - but I'm pleased you were still listening intently, eyes admittedly a tad glazed, when I returned. Two hours later.
I forgot to mention the presence of
Roland
De Wolfe
. Roland is a lucky young man, knows it only too well, & his default facial feature is a smile, & his life's glass is always overflowing. I like him a lot.

And so clean - he looked all freshly washed and brushed, I was surprised as sometimes on the telly he looks a bit tarnished. A bit like you in reverse, although last night you were also well turned out - nice shoes btw.

You do realise that "Nice shoes" is a scraping the botton of the barrel compliment. It reminds me of a dog I once had, it was the ugliest dog in the world. I friend of mine looked at it one day, and after umming and arring for ages finally blurted out "Nice teef"

Lol. Well admittedly they weren't as nice as Pardraigs mate (can't remember his name) who was wearing spats type trainers, had to be seen to be believed.

"Padraig's mate"?
Not much gets past Ding.
"Padraig's mate" (with the spats) goes by the name of Mr May. That's Mr Jesse May......

Whilst at the Premier Poker League party Jesse May was talking about his 'other' book - "The Gambler's Guide to the World" - generally, a travel guide for poker players.
When the author of a book tells you to avoid it, that's just going to make me want to read it even more. From what I can gather the primary cause for any lameness in this book was that Jesse had his budget for the whole trip - he divided it into envelopes for each leg of the trip - and each of these envelopes contained envelopes where the budget was further split down into playing money, food and drink etc.
However he started in Vegas, and rapidly tore through nearly all the envelopes whilst there, leaving $300 for to cover 'the rest of the World'.
I have ordered a copy of this book now so I'll be able to see if it lives down to Jesse's description of it.

Well, I have a selective memory, & it deletes stuff I'd rather not remember, but yes, I should have mentioned him.
Mr "Johnny Vegas" (the mere name causes me to retch) was engaged as pseudo-doorman & brochure-hander-outer, a role perhaps a tad above his station in life, & it would be very rude of me (as I was a Guest of Mr Hearn) to give my real opinion of his behaviour & demeaneur, which may have been alcohol-induced, or perhaps just part of his "act". But to be honest, I don't quite see where he fitted into the grand scheme of things, & having someone utter non-stop profanities at one & all, is a trick the purpose of which defeats me. I guess as one gets older, the novelty of swearing for the sake of it - as a comedic routine, & that was the totality of the "comedy" - wears off a little. I'm sure he thinks as much of me as I think of him. At a push, the pair of us will get along quite nicely if, perchance, our paths don't cross again.
I caught a bit of a Chubby Brown DVD trailer the other night. A bunch of his fans got to meet him backstage, & he said "FUCK YOU ALL!" - that was it, no more, no less - & they all laughed heartily. We pays our money, & we takes our choice. But I, as usual, got lucky - Mr Vegas swore at me for free.

Time has beaten me again, & I have lots more to Post including a reply to Gatso (DTD Cash-Game Protocol), & to comment/reply on the Absolute Poker replies.
But I'm off to DTD, for the £100, & as I have a very early start on Monday, there'll be no Cash-Game when I bust out, so I may be back home quite early. Not TOO early, I hope.
