Iranian by descent, & one of the most-feared Cash Players on the world circuit, Ben Roberts. His son began playing last year, & he's inherited his father's grace, manners & decorum.

Bullit-Pete, who arrived with JP this morning.
Pete's largest ever cash, so the story goes, was in last years WSOP Main Event. In which he never cashed.
Anybody explain that?

OK, time has beaten me, I have to go do some work now, so you'll be pleased to know the continuing bombardment of my holiday snaps will cease. For now. I'll be back though.
Have a nice evening.
The weather here remains blistering hot, by the way, but they've forecast rain. For February.

If you meet folks for the first time "at home", (in the UK), it's fine, but when you come to Vegas & meet Brits, somehow you bond so much better.
I met this couple last night at Caesars, the young lady - Rachel - shared my Table, & her Hubbie, Clinton, was close by. They came from Cambridge (England) & we got chatting.
She is the PR Lady for a Construction Company (boy, that must be tough!) & he works for SIG (Sheffield Insulation Group) who are huge in UK construction.
But they run, in their spare time, something called "Pokka", which are combined Football & Poker Tourneys. (Pokka - soccer + poker).
Lovely couple, & we swapped e-addy's & moby numbers, & after a flurry of e-Mails last night, they have been booked to appear on the Sky Show. Soon sorted, that.
thats clintonO on littlewoods he does really well on there hes won something silly like 18 packges over the last couple of years for the WSOP and CPC etc , always high on the crypto tourny leaderboard every month
Clinton is also a member on blonde - TheJamMan

The very last hand of the night goes to Dewi James, who finds ACES and talks Raymond O’Mahoney into calling his all-in preflop bet of 15k. “If I had AQ, I’d call!” says Dewi. Raymond calls holding pocket 66’s.

Short break. Done 5 Interviews, & the Live 'Phone-In, which was also filmed, in my room, with my Lappie tuned to the Sky Poker Internet Feed. Surreal.
A few more Interviews to do, then I've wangled the evening off, as Thewy rung me & caused me to stray from the path of righteousness. Thewy, Rob Garfield, Kev "Lovejoy" O'Leary & myself are all off to have Din-Din with Jim "7dave" McShane at the Red-Rock "T-Bone" Restaurant. It's a spaghetti House I'm told. Then I have to get back here for close of play to see how our remaining Player from Day 2a is going - he has 51k as of now - & then have to write the Daily Vegas Blog & get it Uploaded. We lost young Jason first hand today, pah.

I bumped into Notts Veteran Ian Macdonald (father of Tristan) in the Rio Corridor - heading the wrong way. After 3 big hands & no punters, he had an accident & is busto.
Same fate befell Dave Barnes, his A-K into A-Q I believe.
Thewy went early doors, J-J into Q-Q.
Simon Zach gave his mini-stack to Dave Colclough. Dave had, so Simon said, Raised 6 hands in 10, so when Simon (less than 10k) found A-8 in the Blinds & decided to stop DC messing about, DC made the call. With Aces. Dave is running vey well, around 75,000 I believe.
Sverre Sundbo ran his 60,000 right down to 7,000, & then back up again - to 60,000!
More when, & if, I get it.
It's odd how the atmo here chnges as the days progress. It's really getting quite interesting now.

I Posted a few days bacvk that I'd bumped into a forlorn Joe Grech, who's had a bad Vegas, & who did not have enough Cash to play the Main Event.
I saw him this morning, bright & cheery, & he told me he'd since chopped the Bellagio $2k-er for $75,000! So he did play the WSOP Biggie, but Busted. But he's happy, as he's going home in profit - the ultimate aim from a Vegas Trip, surely? I too shall go home in profit, thanks to "work" income, but not from the Tables, sadly!
Do I regret not playing the Main Event? Nah, not really. Contentment is not a bad thing.
