I am in the Office at Feltham, & there are giant Plasma TV's everyhere.
There would appear to be some sort of "Talent Show" on right now. And the Team are all agog, ra ra ra, the audience are screaming & whooping, like it's something special. And the "Talent"...
Good grief.
I think the word "Talent" is as relevant as that expression the Unions used to use for strikes - "Industrial Action".
Talent, my arse.

I despair. What is the matter with people? Each to their own, I guess, but I suspect there must be some subliminal reason people watch this sort of stuff. Hoping they fail, the "car-crash" scenario, perhaps?
But I appreciated this comment.....

Returning with 22,500, with Blinds at 1k-2k (RA 200), & 20 players left (9 paid) I had an outrageous piece of good fortune when lad to my right shoved wth Kings & I found Aces. Right back in it now.
Sigh.. Dont mention Aces and Kings to me..
Im never laying Aces to you ever again Tikay !

OK, let's look properly at this "Aces" affair.
It was in Luton, in a £50 + £50 + £50 jobbie.
Sicilian & I both had around 7k-ish, it's probably Level 2 or 3, & I can't I popped it to 2k with K-K.
Sicilain flatted me here, afterwards declaring "I knew he had a big hand, & wanted to get fully paid, so I just smoothed".
It came
I was first to speak, & quickly bet out 4k. In effect, my Bet said "I'm all-in if you fire back at me".
Sicilian went into dwellage, & "spoke his thoughts".
He eventually said "I can put you on 5 hands, & I'm only beating one of them - Kings. I'm behind to TT, JJ, QQ, & A-K." (I did have Kings).
He eventually Passed his Aces.
I think it's impossible to distinguish between which of those 5 hands I had. As such, Sicilian was losing to 4 of the 5 Hands he had me on, & Passed.
It was, results orientated, a bad Pass. But on balance, it was, in my view, a good Pass, & not many can make it. OK, he was well wrong, but he'd be right in 4 cases out of 5. And I defy anyone to differentiate, given the situation & Betting, between whether I had, say, QQ, JJ, or AK.
Too many folks fall in love with AA. And I think it'd be a miracle to see that Pass Online. One time in 5 it would be correct to Call.......

Sicilian made it 600 in mid, you made it 2000 from the big blind and he flatted in position, to give the context.
It was a good pass (without looking at the result) but I suppose a risk by his "trying to get on" pre-flop. Higher risk, higher reward.

I was at the table and FWIW I think it was a great pass. Any fool can call with aces.

So basically a nit re-raises a MP raise to 2k with 5k back, his 3 bet range is almost exactly the same as his range for calling a 4 bet shove so its pretty clear the best play is to shove the AA pre, no?

I agree, and so does Sicilian I am sure but given that he didn't, the post flop pass was a nice one I felt.
