I think the good idea would have been not to create the state of Israel and arm it to the teeth in the first place....
And how long do you think The State of Israel would have lasted had it not been "armed to the teeth" ?
It is worth bearing in mind that the Israeli armed forces are called the IDF, Israeli Defense Force.
Yeah so if it hadnt been created we wouldn't have all the civilians dying!!
Oh and HAMAS means "Islamic Resistance Movement" can't both just be defending!

An intresting afternoon.
Wrote two Blog Entries, my last ones for 2008. I'm contracted to do one a week, but I often do more - in fact I sent 13 of them from Vegas in 15 days his year. They must look odd to some (perhaps they are odd...) but they are written from an angle. Ideally, they need enough poker interest & content to tempt players to read them - but then comes the clever bit, to weave in some promotional stuff, without it looking like Gush-The-Lush type Corporate Spam, & to be "SEO-aware" as to keywords & suchlike. Not an easy line to walk, & I often get it wrong.
To the players on Sky Poker, reading about guys who are lucky enough to play medium or big buy-in (it's relative) Live Events is actually interesting, especially as they can associate with me as I appear on the Show a fair bit. I'd have to write the stuff totally different if it were for blonde. Different market, different strokes, different folks. Anyway, I've got away with it so far.
I titled one of today's two articles
"Spots & Pimples - we have the solution".
As a "hook", I was rather pleased with that. The piece may be poo, but the Title will do it's job, & attract readership. And yes, it's a poker article, pure & simple.

And the best form of defense is a good?

Meanwhile, back at blonde Base-Camp, Rich, Kev & I exchanged about a dozen e-Mails this afternoon, none of which exactly thrilled me, or them.
Amazingly, extraordinarily, bizarrely, gut-wrenchingly, blonde (Cardroom) has been fined by i-Poker in December, for, I suppose, technical default of the Rakeback Rules.
So we gotta stump up a few bob as penance for being naughty, & in a day or two, when Rich, Kev, & I have finished deliberating, we'll make some changes to our Loyalty Scheme.
Hobsons Choice rules.
I do find it perplexing, all this. I'm old school, big time, but I've done OK in business, & watched others do the same, by putting "Client Satisfaction" first. It's my mantra. ALL businesses should give their Clients satisfaction, & a fit-for-purpose product.
So I expect I-Poker to respect us as a Client, & we in turn respect our Clients - you the Players - equally, or more so.
But it's all gone topsy-turvy these days. We get told off by i-Poker, & reminded forcefully what we can & cannot do. We can't argue, either, rules am rules, & the penalty for being naughty is to get booted off the Network. OK, OK, we'll be good boys now. We'll have to be.
I was always taught that the road to success was a bumpy one, all bends & wobbly bits, uphill all the way, & into the wind. Not wrong.

The problem with harbouring deep concern for the world's problems is that the concern is ultimately futile. This is because of the two truths a) power breeds corruption and b) people who are different wont coexist in harmony. Of course, you can be concerned from a grass roots level about humanitarian issues, but the moment that concern filters up to highest levels it is diluted by corruption. This country went to war with Iraq because Tony Blair told us Saddam had weapons of mass destruction and could attack us, but he did not and could not. Many innocent people needlessly lost their lives. Lost their LIVES over that lie. Even though the grass roots voice demonstrated against the war. Blair, the man who got it so wrong continued to make all the decisions for this country even when the truth was discovered. How is that even possible? He told us the real reason we actually went after Saddam was because he was a tyrant and killed innocent people without due cause. Jesus Christ, isn't that what you just did geezer. And Mugabe is a tyrant who kills innocent people. So WTF is going on? Zimbabwe vs Iraq is no contest on the power & wealth world stage though...so actually Britain's foreign policy is inconsistent and based on lies.
Then Blair steps down and decides Brown should take over. Who voted for Brown again? Aren't we fighting for democracy out there in the world? In truth, people in power lol at democracy. E.g. Irish people vote NO to Europe...so they gotta vote again.
Because power is everything people who are different can't get on together because they both want it bad. The whole of history has been a chess game of arming and disarming various countries against each other so the balance of power is kept stable. At grass roots level we are drip fed racism from the media in order to breed friction. Please tell me the last time the headline read "asylum seeker"...followed by a positive story? The facts of the matter are there is enough food and water so nobody has to die. So why are so many people dying? It's cos people are selfish and power turns them more so. What can we do about that?

I hope that's a sick joke. If it is, I don't understand it. If you're being serious, then you're under some serious delusions.

Of course it happened, just an example of how these things soon degenerate into pointless arguements and people getting fecked of with each other.

lol well your sole base for argument was that IDF has Defence in it, the same defence works for HAMAS.
No i am not a holocaust denier, in the same way i hope you don't deny all the horrible deaths the Israeli state has caused.
After World War I, the League of Nations approved the British Mandate of Palestine with the intent of creating a "national home for the Jewish people."[8] In 1947, the United Nations approved the partition of Palestine into two states, one Jewish and one Arab.[9] On May 14, 1948 the state of Israel declared independence and this was followed by a war with the surrounding Arab states, which refused to accept the plan. The Israelis were subsequently victorious in a series of wars confirming their independence and expanding the borders of the Jewish state beyond those in the UN Partition Plan. Since then, Israel has been in conflict with many of the neighboring Arab countries, resulting in several major wars and decades of violence that continue to this day.
I wasn't around in the late 40's but it seems to me Israel's invasion is the root cause of these problems, not Hamas.

I am absolutely shocked at you stooping to that level Ralph.
The people who should know most about being the victims of attempted genocide are those perpetrating it now. They're not in Holocaust denial - they've decided 'let's do it first' which is WORSE than denial.

They didn't vote for him to lead the country buddy. While your point is genuine the tards up and down the country voted Blair not governmental due process. Brown had a respectable opportunity to go to these labour constituents in EVERY borough and give them that choice. But he was told he would lose. So he did not.
