My Diary has almost died, it's on life Support, but I don't plan to give up. Just so busy these last few weeks. So much to Diary, I'll get it done somehow.

My life is mostly clear blue skies, just the odd black cloud & shower. I'm very happy, & fulfilled, & getting a lot more sleep than before, that's helping.

I start work at 7pm tonight, 5 hours PTP, that's pure relaxation, so 20 minutes on the Diary first to get me going again diary-wise.

I went back to Brighton last weekend, for the WPC (Weekly Poker Club) National Finals at Hove Dog Track.

Look Dad, I'm famous - my name is on a Tourney Clock. Laugh if you will, Dad would have been well proud.

At Brighton the previous weekend, this was Compo, looking rather smug.

Let's be right, & give him credit - could YOU look smug in that suit?

...but back at Brighton, exactly one week later, (I do travel some miles!) I bumped into Compo's tailor.

I just love meeting new characters, & these two Lovely Dears (Mother & Daughter) help run the WPC.

24 hours later, the one on the left was a grandmother, & the one on the right was a great-grandmother.

Wonderful!

Well, what a day that was!

Bit of a party, really but I don't yield easily. I'm actually pleased with myself that I hung in there all day, & handled it ok-ish. It's been about a 12 hour stint, & I'm as fresh as a daisy. Tomorrow, I'll be a wreck, I know I will.

And while that was going off, I handled over 30 PM's, 40+ e-Mails (non-blonde), got a haircut, did my washing, did my Sky day job, too, including a 5 hour PTP Session, 2 hours cash, over two hours of Tourneys (cashed in one too, too), a Live 'Phone-In to the Show, & a Live Televised Heads Up Match against Dave Whitcombe, the Darts player. Which I lost, when my JJ was trumped by his A-7, all-in Pre. Board, 2-3-4-5-6. Got me all wrapped up good & proper, both ends. The only Bad Beat of the day.

Messed up the 'Phone-In a bit, never realised we were Live. Orford said something, I said "how come you are not doing the Show, are you on a break or summat, this is supposed to be Live?".  He said "we are Live". Oops.

Even a bad day can be satisfying, if you are strong & honest, & don't yield.

Apologies for the semi-chirp.

Big thank to my special friends - you know who you are - for the encouragement & support all day. Some of it was so strong it was actually the only time I wavered, I was so touched. Thanks especially to Trace, Tom, Chili, Jen, Simon, Keith, Craig, Paul, Stu, & all those I can't recall right now.

A lighter note. One Member nearly got banned, but he can wait, for his super insenhsitivity (timing & discretion was never his strong point).

Another Member did get Banned, & though we don't usually discuss these things, I'll make an exception. (I just made that rule up).

Many of you know that new Member "joearama" has been a perfect nuisance, PM-ing everyone left right & centre, today more than ever, "give me $10, please". Including to Kev, again, a case of bad timing. We just sighed & ignored. But he sent one too many, & got short shrift in reply, including, "you what, you want ME to stake YOU on the day I lost my blonde job?"....... For his own safety, we thought we'd better bin him. Bye bye joearama.

Friday, it's ironing & packing for Edinburgh. I gotta take two changes of clothes up, including crisply ironed shirts & suit, overcoat, the lot, as we are filming inside & outside for In-Poker on Saturday. Bit of a pain to squeeze it all in a suitcase, thats why I prefer the car, it's my travelling wardrobe.

I fly from East Mids at about 6pm, Compo & Norman from Stansted, Michelle, & Rich Orford, & the Crew, from Heathrow, & we all hook up at the Marriott at about 9pm Friday. No Casino tomorrow night, as I need to be fresh for Saturday, which promises a 16 hour shift, wearing two hats - one as Tourney Gofer, Announcer, Commentator, Schmoozer, Warm-Up Act,  & Water Carrier, and the other for In-Poker, which I really love. The perfect day, I adore all that stuff. We plan to film the GV's somewhere nice in Edinburgh, and I hope it's very cold - it sort of completes the scene really.

I fly back on Sunday afternoon, but It's a bit tight for time for Luton's increasingly well-attended £100 jobbie, so maybe divert to DTD instead. Can't be wasting an evening can we?

Night all, & if I don't get back Online before, do have a great weekend.

You were going great guns with the sunshine pic.  Found meself sat here saying. "Awwwwwwwwww, that's sweet and just what he needs when he calls back."

But have to draw the line at wearing piss.  I'd imagine it's nearly as bad as wearing one of Compo's suits!

Lol @ Chili. And bless her.

We rub along pretty well. We have had more barneys than enough, but there's a totally mutual & deep friendship there.

She is the ultimate rubdown queen, too, as I was reminded yesterday, or at 4am this morning to be more correct.

She was really very distressed about all this yesterday, & she rung me several times, oohing & aahing.

Then this yext came in, in reply to mie to her.

"You know I love you. In a way."

Always that caveat. "In a way indeed". Tart.

A rash of PM's this morning, replies will have to wait, sorry, I gotta get off to Edinburgh shortly.

Loved the shortest one. It said, simply......

"Meh".

And who sent that? Compo. I just hate it when old peeps try to be hip, cool, & speak like the kidz.
